Blacklisted packages still logged
Hello, Pardon me if this turns out to be stupid question. I have an IP address blacklisted in /etc/shorewall/blacklist. I have BLACKLIS_LOGLEVEL not set in /etc/shorewall/shorewall.conf, but I can still see the packages coming from the blacklisted IP logged in /var/log/messages when I do ''tail -f /var/log/messages''. Is there someplace else I should check ? Thanks. RDB --

Interdomain trust to Windows 2003 native mode domain ?
Dear list and Samba Team, It says in the Samba Howto, that it "should" be possible to trust a Windows 2000 domain, but it needs more testing. Have any of you made this work ? I ask because we implemented our Samba/LDAP-3 domain during the week-end and had to rool back since we couldn't get the user validation to a trusted Windows 2003 native domain to work. Memory allocation error: failed to expand to 1108555744 bytes
I saw the following log entry when connecting to a print share on a Samba 3.0.7 box from a Windows 2000 client. I assume the attempt to allocate 1Gb+ of RAM has got to be wrong? Retrieving UNIX UID/GID directly through Active Directory
Hi, there's a bug on bugzilla.samba.org that I'd like to comment on but it's not letting me. It's bug #242, titled "Retrieving UNIX UID/GID directly through Active Directory from schema extension" The person who posted the request talks about using AD4Unix, but I've installed Microsoft's Services for Unix and it made similar schema changes. Specifically, it

Fw: setting an exception source to a redirect rule?
I recently setup shorewall on my freshly rebuilt router box. I setup transparent proxying using transproxy/dansguardian/privoxy/squid. My current rules for the redirect are: REDIRECT loc 81 tcp www - !192.168.100.0/24 ACCEPT fw net tcp www How do I set this so that all the request are redirected except for requests FROM a certain machine (192.168.100.11)?
