I have chosen to use confirmatory factor analysis to analyse this data set. Instrument The instrument consists of 11 subscales. There is a total of 68 items in the 11 subscales. bivirate k-function
Hi Is there anyone who can help a reporter (me) with the following: I want to use the bivirate k-function to determin if burgerbars are clustered around schools. To that purpose I’ve been told to use the bivirate k-function, but my program Arcview doesn’t contain that. Im stuck on a dead end – how to I for a start get the data into R? multinomial confidence interval
Hi R users! Is there a function that extracts the simultaneous confidence intervals for multinomial proportions as described by Sison and Glaz 1995? or anyone else for that matter? I have seen that SAS has macro for this ( http://www.jstatsoft.org/v05/i06) and i was wondering if R had something similar? Thank you and have a great day ahead! --------------------------------- [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Fitting 3 beta distributions
Hi, I want to fit 3 beta distributions to my data which ranges between 0 and 1. What are the functions that I can easily call and specify that 3 beta distributions should be fitted? I have already looked at normalmixEM and fitdistr but they dont seem to be applicable (normalmixEM is only for fitting normal dist and fitdistr will only fit 1 distribution, not 3). Is that right? Also, my data has 26

Clustering large data matrix
Hello, I have a large data matrix (68x13112), each row corresponding to one observation (patients) and each column corresponding to the variables (points within an NMR spectrum). I would like to carry out some kind of clustering on these data to see how many clusters are there. I have tried the function clara() from the package cluster. If I use the matrix as is, I can perform the clara

Rebuild of kernel 2.6.9-67.0.20.EL failure
Hello list. I'm trying to rebuild the 2.6.9.67.0.20.EL kernel, but it fails even without modifications. How did I try it? Created a (non-root) build environment (not a mock ) Installed the kernel.scr.rpm and did a rpmbuild -ba --target=`uname -m` kernel-2.6.spec 2> prep-err.log | tee prep-out.log The build failed at the end: Processing files: kernel-xenU-devel-2.6.9-67.0.20.EL Checking
