Hi all, I've just install samba2.0.7 on server Tru64. We have one printer HP5Si and others HP4 on the network. Using Samba from our Win95 customer we can print correctly to HP4 but to our HP5si we have the file wanted and one blank page and one page indicated "@PJL RDYMSG DISPLAY=" " ". So we want to suppress these pages. Is there anyone who can help me ?

hello, I am wondering how to print LARGE files.. samba seems to trunkate large files.. I changed my printer command = lp -d%p %s to no avail. If I print the file to the disk on the server I can then issue an lp -dhp5si LARGEFILE and it prints fine. any suggestions?? thanks in advance. Robert

...job completes. I changed printer drivers to the PCL only and that seemed to help but it is still not right. Also When you try and get a printer status from Windows (by double clicking the printer in Printers) it shows the name of the printer and then: <refreshing> or <paused>. Ok, here's my setup: I've had a samba file server going for about a year now. It's Samba v2.05a on a RH6.0 sys. Currently we have a printer server running on a Winblows NT box. This NT box has the following printers: HP5si, (4) HP4000, and a few HP4s. All of those printers have Jet Direct ports on them. What I want to do is, move all the printers over to the Samba box and KILL the NT box.
