Why FLAC, why not MAC?
Why do some of you use FLAC for lossless encoding? I've done some
test and MAC filesizes were always smaller. I don't seem to see what
the problem is.

[GSoC 2019] Apply the Clang Static Analyzer to LLVM-based projects - final report
Hey everyone!
This Summer we managed to make the Clang Static Analyzer support the LLVM
and
LLVM-based projects with my mentors Artem Dergachev and Gabor Horvath.
For a more detailed documentation please visit my final report:

The project in a nutshell: I have fixed the most annoying false positives
and
added support for the custom RTTI of LLVM which became a huge true positi...

vhost creation with and without ssl
Hello,
I have this defined resource type which is working perfectly until I
want an ssl an http vhost pointing to the same directory in which case
the unique $servername variable became a singleton
Do you have any idea how to get around this? I am pretty tired at the
moment and cant think of any good solution.
define vhost ($servername = "${hostname}.${domain}", $serveralias = [

Migrate hangs at 99%
...igration immediately finishes.
I'm using the following command to migrate:
virsh migrate --live --persistent --undefinesource --copy-storage-all
--verbose --desturi qemu+ssh://root@DESTINATION/system VM-NAME
Do you have any advice on this?

OggVDS Where?
Where can I download the Ogg Vorbis DirectShow Filter? I've heard,
that there is a newer version than 0.9.9.5. There's a bug in either
OggMux or Tobias' Filter which causes text to be erased after special
(unicode?) characters in the chapter list.

Can I move the disk image of the guest while it is running?
...ning, like live migration?
I did not find any related documentation or posts about it.
Let's say the guest has a disk at /ssd/image.raw
We want to move that to /hdd/image.raw
Is there any way to do that without interrupting the guest?

read.table only reads part of file
Hi all,
I encountered a problem when trying to read in an Illumina chip
annotation file. The offending file is large, so I zipped it up and
posted it at
http://www.genetics.ucla.edu/labs/horvath/CoexpressionNetwork/tmp/ProbeInfo_Expression.txt.bz2
Executing this:
annot = read.table(bzfile("ProbeInfo_Expression.txt.bz2"),
comment.char="", sep = "\t", fill = TRUE, header = TRUE);
leads to

Re: Lots of threads and increased IO load

As I understand, moving forward towards more risk and more "performance"
I can try to experiment with "writeback" then?
i.e. <driver name='qemu' type='raw' cache="writeback" />
Cheers.

WGCNA: Combining block-wise dendrograms and modules into a single figure
...I am currently learning to use R, so please forgive me if there is an
obvious explanation for the following problem. My goal is to perform WGCNA
on a dataset of 19776 genes, so I opted to follow the block-wise network
construction (Section 2c) in the WGCNA R Tutorial by Peter Langfelder and
Steve Horvath.
I ended up with 10 blocks and am able to plot the dendrograms and module
colors for each block, but I am having trouble grouping all of the blocks
together for a single dendrogram/module color figure. On page 4 of section
2c in the WGCNA tutorial, the single-block network construction workspace i...

using puppet to configure local settings
Hi,
I was asked by my boss if puppet can handle the following scenario.
- 2 server (A and B)
- same config for each server, eg. /etc/resolv.conf (nameserver
1.2.3.4)
- but B should have a local unique requirement of another nameserver
5.6.7.8
so, A will have
nameserver 1.2.3.4
but B will have
nameserver 5.6.7.8
nameserver 1.2.3.4
when we change the global nameserver 1.2.3.4 to 9.8.7.6, it
