boot thumbdrive with CentOS 7 ISO???
...hould at minimum mention that. Better yet, the install's name should be given "Non-dual-boot.iso". * The resultant OS was text only. I.e., it wouldn't run init 5... trying to do so would cause to hang. * Maybe the above problem was due to bad coding somewhere-- the entire OS horked a couple times... then I finally saw error code saying, "kernel panic". I haven't gotten one of those in decades. Geez, what a terrible ISO distro!

...> I did find this, and hacked up a script based on their research... I didn't really feel comfy with their use of mod_rewrite which is pretty much undebuggable and black magic, but used a CGI script instead. It at least currently seems to work well enough that we're not completely horked in terms of existing URLs, but if someone finds a URL that doesn't work, I'll hammer on it. -hpa

pxelinux debugger
hi! I have been using pxelinux 1.75 for some time with some modifications (mainly to look for a particular configuration file) - I have been trying to move these modifications over to the pxelinux 2.00 source for awhile and haven't had much success. I wanted to know if there any debugger out there that can help me with this? Thanks, Brian

Agressive echo cancelation
Anyone know if it is possible to control how aggressively the "Aggressive" mode behaves. Meaning, is it possible to dial back the aggressive mode to have a happy medium between Regular and the Aggressive defaults. I have a situation where Normal echo cancellation is not quite enough, however when I turn on aggressive mode We are attacking it to hard and I am unhappy with the walkie

PRINTER share not appearing
I was doing good - getting close to rolling out a point-n-print samba/cups server when while uploading a driver file, I got some random windows error about the PRINT SUSBYSTEM was not available. After reconnecting to the samba server, the PRINTER share was gone. Uninstall the SAMBA RPM and re-install yielded nothing. I cant figure out what happened to it. any ideas?

Samba 3.0.4 PDC w/ LDAP - XP client
Hello, I am currently trying to set up my Samba 3.0.4 testbox to be a PDC for a MS Windows XP Pro SP1 box. I am using the latest smbldap-tools from IDEALX and I have really REALLY tried to do things right. Followed their manual... I cleaned my setup three times today and started from scratch ... Managed to join my DOMAIN yesterday but right now no chance. Read TOSHARG, OReilly`s "Using

...ment utilizing some of it's more modern features. Let me just say, that it's been several hours of testing/troubleshooting to get where I am now. (And I don't mean just Samba) I'm running Linux 2.6-test11 on a Sparc64. (This was the cause of many of those hours, and my display is horked and the keyboard is broken, any ideas off list? :) ) But, I wanted to use a kernel with ACL built in, and not attempt to patch one and have to keep up with patches every time I changed kernels. So, I have ACL built. I'm using ext3. I went to http://acl.bestbits.at/ and downloaded and instal...

Fork: Resource Temporarily Unavailable
Hey all, I installed a while ago two CentOS 5.3 servers. One of them was running Samba and another OpenLDAP. I configured Samba to act as a PDC on the network and everything was working fine, I was already on policies rules and desktop migrations. One day, another analyst changed our subnet, and the domain was implemented only on our sector for start. After the subnet change, we had a

interface negotiation questions (slightly off-topic)
...if it can't autonegotiate? Is it doing something non-standard for determining the duplex/speed of a particular link? How can one know whether to trust the autonegotiate stuff in general? Just test it and see? If the switch can't negotiate properly, why don't the windoze drivers get horked up? How do I determine the actual duplex modes if I can't trust the switch indicators? Since I get 900k/sec or better on my 10 Mbps half duplex network at home, is the 5M/sec indicative of half or full duplex operation? Is there anything else I forgot to ask? Thanks in advance (and sorry fo...
