List of all Models
Anyone know a pretty way to get a list of all Models?
That is, a list of all classes which inherit from ActiveRecord:Base
I can''t seem to figure it out!
The best I''ve got is to list the /app/models directory... but, that is
*dirty*.

Regex in HTML

Polymorphic find_or_create bug
Today I just spent 3 hours (and before a demo!) trying to figure out
why my polymorphic association fields were breaking.
Turns out someone else put in a patch for this 6 months ago. I''m not
sure if its the same solution I''d use... I''d rather find_or_create
attempt to use AssociationProxy#build if its available and only
Base#new if we''re not on a proxy.

with a 4GL background, wanting to learn RoR, what is the fastest
learning path i should take? should i go grab a RoR tutorial, and learn
Ruby along the way, or start with plain Ruby first?

Creating a symbolic link within a Rails application?
Hi, how does one create a symbolic link within a Rails application? At this
time, I can perform this action at the command line but I''m not sure how to
do it within Rails. BTW, I''m doing the following command in Mac OS X:

potential enterprise rails project
Hello Rubyists,
I''m in the position of being given the job to design and build a
mission-critical web facing application for a small but growing
enterprise. It is to be used by customers as needed, numbering in
the tens up to the hundreds. It will collect operational data,
particularly in a table around 50 columns wide, and potentially
millions of rows deep, most fields being numerical.

Mongrel Randomly getting TERM
Has anyone ever experienced this problem? Every 12-24 hours *one of* my
mongrel processes gets a TERM signal and quits.
There is all I get in my mongrel log..
** Mongrel available at 0.0.0.0:8003
** TERM signal received.
And my rails-log is silent too. No request starting. Just the end of a
successful request and then nothingness.
The other processes are doing just fine and stay up for good.
