[LLVMdev] neon registers llvm using
Hi, Everyone: Can anyone let me know the default NEON registers llvm going to use with armv7 devices? For example, d10 and d11 are treated as default zero? I am using Xcode5 + llvm and I got a case that compiler will generate neon codes " vst.8 {d10, d11}, [r1] " from C codes: "int aMV[4]; ...... aMV[0] = aMV[1] = aMV[2] = aMV[3] = 0; " and I

[slightly off topic] Sweave with markdown
...ives to Sweave, namely R2HTML and odfWeave, but in the former the source syntax is no less disturbing than LaTeX (although the zero compilation time is a plus), while for the latter I do not have a decent compatible editor (on a Mac, I tried Openoffice and Abiword but the fonts look like my handwriting for some obscure reason). Maybe I'll give it another shot at some stage, I just usually prefer plain text files. Any input welcome, Baptiste [*]: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Markdown _____________________________ Baptiste Augui? Physics Department University of Exeter Stocker Road, E...

Problem with japanese programs
Hello. I have a tiny problem. I am running Character Maker (a japanese painting program aimed mainly for RPG Maker and the like). Now on Windows, it used the default system font, but when I run it under Wine it uses an ugly handwriting font. Is there a way to fix this problem? It also happens with several programs which were originally in japanese (such as Melody Raiser [from the same author] and PSX Multi Converter [A program to play music videos and view images from Playstation CDs]).

USB-serial adapter for CentOS 7
I've several USB <-> RS-232 dongles around. As well as a few embedded devices. They all "Just Work (tm)" on Redhat, CentOS, Fedora, Debian, Raspian and Kali. Knock on wood - never had a problem using any of them. As the drivers are part of the kernel, I'd expect any distro using a recent kernel to do well. USB-serial adapter for CentOS 7
...ebian, > Raspian and Kali. Even if you did have an RS232 port on the box, the serial drivers for CentOS 7 have never worked correctly. I had an application using RS232 that worked perfectly under CentOS 6, and then worked intermittently under CentOS 7, and failed miserably on CentOS 8. The handwriting on the RedHat wall says, "nobody uses RS232 anymore!" I moved the app to a Raspberry Pi 3B+, using the USB serial adapters, and it works perfectly again. I don't have a clue.,

The Room

validating phone numbers
Anyone got a good validation for validating a phone number? I just want to make sure that whatever the user enters is somewhat sensical, and i''d like to be fairly liberal about what kind of a format it''s in. Joe

OW #10.09 - Google Desktop and Live Meeting
...ally interesting. It's a small box with a combination ink/digital pen. You write or draw on normal paper with the device at the top of the page. As you write the device records your writing with a small display to confirm that it's working. When you connect the unit to your computer the handwriting / drawings can be copied to your main computer, and that can now include appearing automatically in OneNote. Though it's not stated, we're assuming that OneNote will do its nifty background OCR trick to make the written notes searchable. The process is one-way from the device to OneNote, w...
