Weird vmstat -s stats
...vmstat -s" shows on one of my boxes (uptime: 26 days):
-1597015721 total name lookups
cache hits (101% pos + 0% neg) system 0% per-directory
deletions 0%, falsehits 0%, toolong 0%
Weird. I'll have to cvsup again and hope this has been fixed :)

Problem with installing packages
I am trying to install the package "tseries", I put
the Folder "tseries" in the folder "Library". When
entring "library(tseries)" in "R", I have got this
warning message "the package contains no R Code".
When trying to use the functions in the package
"tseries", there is an error message "couldn't find
function

tcltk: help with tkmenubutton
I am struck here. What magic inchantation is required with tkmenubutton?
I am converting the examples of Perl/Tk from page...

help biglm.big.matrix; problem with weights
Hello colleagues,
I have tried to use the package biglm. I want to specify a
multivariate regression with a weight.
I have imported a large dataset with the library(bigmemory). I load
the library (biglm) and specified a regression with a weight. But I
get everytime a error message like ?object not found? or ?`weights'
must be a formula? or "error in eval(expr, envir, enclos)". I

Installing Packages
Hello,
I am working with R.1.5.1 in Windows. When trying to
install packages directly from then menu 'packages', I
have got the error,
Error in download.file(url = paste(contriburl,
"PACKAGES", sep = "/"), :
cannot open URL
`http://cran.r-project.org/bin/windows/contrib/PACKAGES'
