Function for AUC?
Hello Is there an easy way, i.e. a function in a package, to calculate the area under the curve (AUC) for drug serum levels? Extract p-value from survdiff function
Hi list, I want to use the p-value from the survdiff function (package survival) to reuse within a function in a Kaplan-Meier plot. The p-value is somehow not a component of the value list ?! Thanks in advance -- A. Goralczyk G?ttingen, Ger.

Will it be resolved within the next days or should I rather install from source (in that case: is my assumption correct that it is possible or will it fail (I read the the check log and it seems that there is some error ?) Visualize cox proportional hazards

Thanks in advance. -- Armin Goralczyk

Lattice on FreeBSD
Hi list I tried to install package lattice on FreeBSD, but install.package() does not seem to find it in the repositories, even trying different mirrors. Could it be that lattice package is not available for FreeBSD? -- Armin Goralczyk, M.D. -- Universit?tsmedizin G?ttingen Abteilung Allgemein- und Viszeralchirurgie Rudolf-Koch-Str. 40 39099 G?ttingen -- Dept. of General Surgery University of G?ttingen G?ttingen, Germany -- http://www.gwdg.de/~agoralc

Conditional ploting with logical vector

I am sorry if some questions may sound weird but I am just beginning to understand this (for me) rather complex concept. R User Group listings
There are now several R geographic user groups, and a few have mailing lists on the R mailing list system. Thanks to Martin M, there's also a pointer to a page I'm maintaining to list/describe the groups. The page is at http://macnash.telfer.uottawa.ca/RUG.html Contact me if you have a listing. I'm prepared to wikify it if there is sufficient interest. John Nash

New user, requesting help with MAC installation of R
Hi: Yesterday I downloaded R and got it up and running on my PC without a hitch, not so when I tried to do the same on my Mac powerbook, using Mac OSX: version 10.4.11.. I have virtually no experience, so I can't tell what exactly went wrong. At first it appeared that the software loaded correctly, it seemed like I was able to install R , and I even successfully unpacked the

EMACS and ESS
Fedora Linux 8 R 2.6.1 Intel CPU I am trying to get started with R under Linux. It has been suggested to me that I run R under EMACS. I have looked at the CRAN website, and several other places to try to find an RPM for EMACS and, if I need it for ESS. I have not succeeded in finding one. Can someone tell me where to go to get the RPMs? If anyone would have a suggestion for an editor other than

Multivariate, multilevel regression?
Dear WizaRds, This is mostly a statistics question, but I'm figuring that R is the right solution (even before I start!) I have some bio data of heart rate versus time (rats taken from resting to maximal heart rate). I want to regress heart rate on time. The data have been normalized such that resting heart rate is zero at time=0, so that all curves intersect at the origin (and at the origin
