which should I use: TIMEOUT, ONTIMEOUT, or ONERROR ?
Hi. I'm trying to get around the problem of an overloaded tftp server causing a pxelinux client hanging at the boot: prompt, waiting for input (no one will input anything to it). The server is OK enough to give the pxebootloader but not the config file, as in this thread: http://syslinux.zytor.com/archives/2004-June/003662.html So, in that case, I guess setting TIMEOUT to some

Winbindd crash after upgrade to 3.0.7
...read the Bugs section from the HOWTO and I've tried launching winbind with gdb but without any luck. I'm not a gdb expert (or even user!), but if someone writes me a "winbindd debug howto" I'll be happy to run it :) The samba machine is named printserver and the w2k3 box is golias. Thanks in advance. winbind users get lost sometimes (repost)
Sorry I'm re-posting this topic because I'm becoming crazy about it In addiction to what follows (that is the old post) I can add that in some hours everything return ok. I use samba and winbind under linux in a NT4 domain. I've set pam to use winbind for authentication. Every NT domain user has his home (/home/winnt/j.smith) and can login the machine. It is going all ok but

RE: veth0 is from netback and vifu.0 is from thebridge-utils?

It''s effectively a point to point link, allowing domain 0 to connect on to the bridge in the same manner that other domains do. (before, packets to domain 0 were short-cutted and came off the

winbind users get lost sometimes
I use samba and winbind under linux in a NT4 domain. I've set pam to use winbind for authentication. Every NT domain user has his home (/home/winnt/j.smith) and can login the machine. It is going all ok but sometimes, I can't understand why, some users are not recognized. If I try getent passwd I see theme but if I try to login (or su) the user I receive the message that the user does

You can have multiple vethX interfaces on recent builds -- see netback/loopback.c. I think the current default is a rather miserly 1 (and should be increased), but can be set on the command line.
