Portable R in zip file for Windows
What is wrong with you guys? I asked for a zip, like R Studio has for
example. Totally clear.
I cant execute exes. But I can unzip files.
Thanks Gabor, I had that in mind, but can't execute the exe due to security
restrictions.
Geez, really, treating people who ask questions this way just makes you
don't want to ask a single one.

I don't think it was an idiot, just someone who left his computer for
the weekend and hasnt come back to check it. (An educated guess, to say
the least)

Another "escaping" problem
Ruby 1.8.2, edge Rails (and 1.0), Mac OS X 10.4.3.
Here''s the SQL that gets generated for an eager load:
SELECT events.`id` AS t1_r0, events.`user_id` AS t1_r1, addresses.`id`
AS t0_r0, events.`name` AS t1_r2, addresses.`name` AS t0_r1,
events.`meet_at` AS t1_r3, addresses.`phone_number` AS t0_r2,
events.`created_at` AS t1_r4, addresses.`phone_service` AS t0_r3,
events.`location_id`

Geez.... they are dragging there feet on this one. :-(

FW: No dial tone after installation
Oh geez nobody respond, I guess I have to be more descriptive.
I'm install Asterisk and FXO FXS Lite dev kit from Digium everything has
installed and I am getting an error message that my sound card is not
enabled. I'm using a Dell Optix (whatever). Everything seems to be in
order. I connect an analogue telephone to the FXO port? and try to dial.
Dial tones work however not dial tone.

MP3 to OGG conversion
I've done a little searching of the mailing lists before posting this
and found a few threads on converting from mp3 to ogg but no one that
I've seen ever answers the question.
a .wav file is a digital format is it not? I'm no video/audio guru by
any stretch so if I'm wrong on that point please correct me. But for
this message I'm going to assume .wav is a digital format. .mp3

Perl wrapper for libvorbisfile or stuff
Hey guys,
I wrote to this list previously, saying I needed a perl module to do
Ogg Vorbis tag reading / writing. People pretty much pointed me to the
Ogg::Vorbis module that wrapped around libvorbisfile and I should
extend that to writing streams, not only reading them. Well, awright,
I thought, let's do it. Problem is, though: The download links on
freshmeat are all broken and I don't

Validations based on associations
My model is very simple, it''s mostly just a join table that represents
which tournaments a user has registered for.
class Registration < ActiveRecord::Base

belongs_to :tournament
validates_presence_of :user_id, :tournament_id
validates_uniqueness_of :user_id, :scope => :tournament_id
end

google voice calling dial plan question.
When a caller calls my google voice phone number, I must answer, wait and
press one to accept. Sometimes even that does not work.
I have tried a few different things to get asterisk to place the call in an
answered state and send the DTMF 1 with the Dial macro.
I found Malcom Davenports wiki page regarding Google calling which has been
very helpful in troubleshooting the issue.
