Find_all_by and find(:all) to only select certain values for a selection box
...: -Find_all_by is actually the same like Find(:all), however Find_all_by is much shorter and less complicated than the syntax of Find(:all) -So in my CONTROLLER it says @files = find(:all) however I don''t want to see all files displayed in my selection box, because I only want to see the foles whose mandant_id is the same like the mandant_id in invoice. So i decided to change the @files = find(:all) into => @files = File.find_all_by_mandant_id(Invoice.mandant_id) But this doesn´t work so does any one has an inspiration to get it working?? If so please help me!! thnx a lot!! =D Valli

Samba files
Hi . I've got a LAN containing a linux SuSE server(domain server), and some few windows machines(workstations). When i log in as a user on a windows machine and open the homes directory, i see files begining with a dot (.) . I've tried to read man pages and adjusted the smb.conf file so as to eliminate the files begining with dot (.) being viewed on the workstations but all in vain.

Folder disappears on rename
I have Samba 4.0.9 installed under Ubuntu 12.04. It's configured as a domain member, with a Windows 2008R2 server being the DC. All workstations are running Windows 7. One of my users is reporting problems in the following scenario: 1) She creates a folder in one of the Samba shares, and places a number of documents there. 2) She closes all open documents and closes Windows Explorer 3)

Dovecot namespace solved while writing; preparing to refilter
Hi! My plea to readers: =================== Pls., people who only want strictly technical issues to read, and frown at any broader context regardless how intrinsically related, but not strictly technically related, it might be, skip all the way, all the way to, search for exact words: "strictly technical" or visually, find two lines of sole "===" characters. Thank you!
