SSH contribution?
List, Whilst I'm in the mood for contributing stuff, here's another little howto I wrote on securing SSH that has proved popular in the past: http://forums.pcper.com/showthread.php?t=433216 If you feel it is suitable and you would like me to contribute it to the CentOS wiki, just set up a page in the appropriate area and I'll be happy to add it. becoming root
Hi List, I've just drafted a FAQ/mini-HOWTO on becoming root as this is a topic I see come up time and time again. Perhaps someone with a reasonable understanding could check it for technical correctness, and if anyone would like to offer comments/feedback?? Any suggestions as to where might be an appropriate home for this on the Wiki? Regards, Ned (attached below)

Hello, I would like to compile the Ogg Vorbis libraries and tools on my Slackware 7.0 box. Unfortunatelly Slack is comming with gcc 2.91.66 which is not suited for compilation of these libraries and tools. I downloaded, compiled and installed in a separate directory tree gcc 2.95.3 but now I really don't know how to make the configure script see it and set it properly as the compiler to be

Short postgrey guide?
Hi Guys, Are you interested in a brief guide on how to set up postgrey (anti-spam greylisting) with postfix? I set it up today and it took me a while to get it working as the config is slightly different from that on many of the googled guides (many are debian/ubuntu based). The darn config file lives in /etc/sysconfig on RH/CentOS rather than /etc/default as mentioned in all the guides I

As usual I'd welcome comments, particularly from those

Wiki content policy?
Hi List, I have a general question about the CentOS Wiki policy that's probably best addressed here. Akemi and I were recently discussing (read Akemi was twisting my arm!!) the possibility of doing a Wiki article on SSL (what are SSL certificates, certificate generation, becoming your own CA, CA-signed vs self-signed etc), but I'm wondering on the merits of such an article for the
