I have an Android client (x-plore) that was able to see and mount shares from my server until the latest upgrade. I've tried setting client ipc min protocol = NT1, but it still can't browse to the server and can't connect to shares if I supply the address.Is there some browsing/sharing setting that I might have missed in the most recent version? Hi folks, here is a quick update. 1/ the samba server does not come up in the network neiborhood. However if I use a net shre e: \\linux\shared then that ci\onnection is made. It still does not show(the connected device) in network nieborhood). I truely believe I've stumbled across a bug deleting directories. The bug is either with Windows 2000 or with Samba 2.2.1a and 2.2.2. I'd tend to think it was a Windows bug except that the problem does not occur against earlier versions of Samba.
