Extensible logging framework
Attached is a quick patch which adds a logging framework to compiz. I think it should be fairly self explanitory. I think it should allow plugin writers to extend it for any purpose, but I would appreciate any feedback or comments before going any further. Ajax Checkbox using Rails
Hi, I''m trying to have a checkbox, that when clickes sends an update to the server and in turn modify the UI with feedback on the success of the operation. The main difficulty I''m encountering is that I can''t pass the checkbox value if I use the standard PrototypeHelpers. I''m using remote_function to build the function call, but it doesn''t allow

netwm dbus api
...put up a forum post [1] where I am going to maintain information about the netwm api for the dbus plugin. I have gone through the EWMH spec [2] and broken it down into a dbus compatible api, it seems to be good and roughly compatible with the existing compiz one. I think everything should be self explanitory, if there are any comments or if there is anything I have misunderstood or missed I would like to hear. I have done the rough framework already and will look at the methods in the order of priority. I assume I can read the member directly as in the scripting plugin when getting, but I will need t...

"AJAX" file uploading
...pper is essentially a javascript call that collects the response and sends it to a callback in the parent window where it can be processed in the normal prototype ways (insertion and such). Please take a look. I didn''t write any documentation for it (yet), but it''s fairly self explanitory for those that have been using Rails for awhile. It''s also very basic. http://rubyforge.org/projects/ajax-upload/ BTW, if anyone would like to assist me on how to write better software I''d be most appreciative. -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

Confusing Contexts using AMP

Is there some sort of comprehensive list of contexts and the actions that invoke them? static box sizing problems
Hi, I tried this one over on the main wx-users list as well, but thought I would try it here since I am using wxRuby: I am using wxWidgets 2.8.7 on a linux box using the GTK build. I have pared down my issue to the simplest case: I am trying to use a horizontal BoxSizer to split a frame into two sections: a left and right side. I want the left side to stretch proportionally and I want the
