Samba on 3.0.22 on HP-UX 11i - mon.out?
...1 After a long hiatus from attention to Samba, I've started to compile the latest version (3.0.22) on HP-UX 11i for testing. I've noticed a couple of things. 1) For some reason, on my test system, every execution of any program that comes in the Samba suite drops "mon.out" files everyplace. Everything I can find about this says that it's something to do with library locations and related to "prof" -- not sure what that is. Anyone else having this problem? 2) I see that passdb_backend's default may have changed? Without placing a directive in 3.0.11, I get smbpassw...

SWAT works with Webmin but not via localhost:901
I have tried everything that I know of. I have reviewed the services file and the swat file in xinetd.d a tun of times. It appears, via netstat that swat is listening on port 901. However when I attempt to access it via the Mozilla browser on my Fedora server (with 127.0.0.1:901 or localhost:901) nothing happens. It just sits there. However, if I access it via webmin (which has swat stored

imap pop3 servers
...the remote users I have and also use procmail for calling spamc from SpamAssassin. Is there some place I can get uw's imap or do I need to settle for using something like Dovecot? (Which doesn't support procmail AFAICT) Also I did do a search and read the wiki for CentOS and just about everyplace I could think of. Thanks for any and all suggestions. -- -Doc Lincoln, NE. http://www.genealogyforyou.com/ http://www.cairnproductions.com/

dreaded one-way audio with nat=yes
I'm trying to move the asterisk server to an Amazon Web instance. We have teliax for our sip provider. I'd like for our DID lines to be connected to a users cell phone. Seems simple enough, but I'm getting the dreaded one-way audio, even with nat=yes everyplace I can think of. The dialplan is real easy: [from-teliax-sip] exten => _j.,1,NoOp("From teliax sip with exten "${EXTEN}") exten => _j.,n,Set(3digitexten=${EXTEN:12:3} exten => _j.,n,NoOp("Callerid is " ${CALLERID(all)} ) exten => _j.,n,GoTo(from-outside,${3dig...

DTMF via SIP not working for certain phone systems
I really hope that someone can help me with this one. DTMF tones are not working for certain places that I call, specifically 1-800-882-8880 which is the AA advantage line. It works for almost everyplace else. If I bypass asterisk, the call works fine. Network looks like: <SPA-2000> --SIP-- ASTERISK --SIP-- <AS5350> --PRI-- PSTN sip.conf entries [VGW01] (this is the AS5350) type=friend nat=no host=192.168.0.1 context=default [8475551212] (this is the SPA-2000) type=friend secret=...

battery not installed, but battery still 100% and NUT 2.7.2-4 does not catch this and report a error
...lly do the weekly or even monthly, short "on battery" test, its not likely you will ever see a replace batteries message because I don't think that flag sets set by a power failure that takes you down. Not time enough to set the flag. The TANSTAAFL principle applies here, same as everyplace else. (Unless it is a dual PS server.) We want the ALARM that the nut driver is generating, and upsd is passing on - to be acted on in some
