Hello. I try to compute a "White-corrected" ANOVA. Therefore I use the command "Anova" implemented in the car()-package): Anova(modelname, white.adjust="hc3") and receive the error message: "Fehler in SS[i] <- SS.term(names[i]) : nichts zu ersetzen" (German) "Error in SS[i] <- SS.term(names[i]) : nothing to replace" (probably being the message in the English version) I also tried the example mentioned in Fox (2002, "An R and S-Plus companion..."), with the "ornstein" data set but received the same message...

...get the mean and sd out of a sample when I want a left-truncated normal distribution starting at "0". fitdistr(x,dtnorm, start=list(mean=0, sd=1)) returns the error message "Fehler in "[<-"(`*tmp*`, x >= lower & x <= upper, value = numeric(0)) : nichts zu ersetzen" I don't know, where to enter the lower/upper value. Hello The end-of-line or new-line character is not interpreted when I open a shared file using MS notepad. The file was created on a Sun Solaris system - The contents of the file is " I newline am newline testing newline samba" when I do a hex dump of the file on Unix I can see the 0d 0a at the end of each line and the same on the Windows side but when I open the file with Notepad I get

Dear Samba team: I just download SAMBA 2.0.7 from http://samba.gorski.net/samba/ftp/Binary_Packages/redhat/ and I have already installed SAMBA 2.0.6 which come with my red head linux 6.2 CD. But the 2.0.7 SAMBA is conflict with SAMBA 2.0.6. and it will not allow me to install the latest version of SAMBA. It gives me error messages while I am trying to install samba2.0.7 "Conflicts
