connection diagram
Hi
I am practically new to R, and need to construct connection diagrams,
I have a table of data, of nodes in vertical rows, and horizontally
the number of outgoing connections to other nodes, and the indices of
these nodes, each in a column, so some columns are used, and some are
not, based on how many connections I have
the node is identified by these variables (dimension, wave number,

[LLVMdev] SSAPRE for LLVM
...LLVM, the GVN pass also does PRE. But by
default, PRE is not on. We need to set -gvnpre to make it work. ''opt
--help'' will list all flags for optimizations. I am not sure if the
latest LLVM still has the flag.

Planet R - a weblog aggregator for statistical computing

Q2: Where is it?
A2: For now, at http://planetr.stderr.org
Q3: What's it good for?
A3: Hopefully, collecting resources and weblog posts from people who might
otherwise not know about each other. Community-building, you see?
Q4: How do I get my stuff on there?
A4: Send mail to elw at stderr.org, with a representative subject line (e.g.
'please add to planet r' will be fine..); I'll need the link to the

how useful could be a fast and embedded database for the R community?
I believe in patches and working code.
You're proposing to compete with the likes of sqlite and berkeley db
-- not small competition, with excellent performance characteristics
when used properly.
You also used the 'b'illions word in reference to data sets - really?
best,

R solaris 64 (etc) build errors
Hello folks,
I found the following message in the web archives from a month or so back
- I've now encountered this same problem while trying to update our local
builds of R (on Solaris) from ~2.2.0 to 2.4.x.
I've tried both the official 2.4.0 source tarball, as well as yesterday's
R-patched source.
I'm doing my builds on a T2000 running Solaris 10, patched up to date as

samba main cvs branch seems to be broken on 64-bit boxes.....
hi there :)
the code in util.c seems to have some bugs w/regard to compilation on
64-bit machines. in this case, the hardware is an Alpha running redhat
4.2 with pam turned off in the makefile.
i get a whole series of errors, all of which say "passing arg 'n' of
'function' from incompatible pointer type. in util.c, checked out of the
main branch the day before yesterday,
