Installation of Samba on SVR3 unix
Hi I have attempted to install Samba on an ageing Motorola running SVR3. Unfortunately it has a limitation of 14 characters for filenames, which means that when I untar the package, many of the files are not created. Does anyone have a solution to this problem, or am I stuck? Many thanks -- Pete ---------------------------------------------------------------- morph@morhp.dircon.co.uk

[PATCH] VSOCK: define VSOCK_SS_LISTEN once only
The SS_LISTEN socket state is defined by both af_vsock.c and vmci_transport.c. This is risky since the value could be changed in one file and the other would be out of sync. Rename from SS_LISTEN to VSOCK_SS_LISTEN since the constant is not part of enum socket_state (SS_CONNECTED, ...). This way it is clear that the constant is vsock-specific. The big text reflow in af_vsock.c was necessary to

is this null block OK?
Hi, A system running ext3 crashed this afternoon (nothing to do with ext3, bad network driver). Is was saving a file from emacs when it happened. The file system is 0.06b and had ordered data as the mount option. Let me emphasize this was running ext3 pure, not with SnapFS or InterMezzo layered on top of it. strace reveals that Emacs does open("existing file name", O_TRUNC |

[RFC PATCH v6 00/92] VM introspection

Intel's EPT) and receive notifications when events of interest have taken place
