Fwd: Call Wainting dysfunctions
I am trying to implement a Centralized Call Waiting System. I have red some document about asterisk group features to manage group and category of a sip channel. I have done a lot of test about it but always it doesn't work correctly if I transfer the call. This is the macro code I use for inbound calls. [macro-test] ; ${ARG1} - technology something like SIP ; ${ARG2} - resource.

Upgrade 4.1.7 -> 4.4
...in previous releases , is it solved in 4.4 ? Performance issues ? - Is the process : ./configure ; make ; samba stop ; make install ; samba start , the way to proceed ? - Is there any data to backup before ? (I plan to backup the entire VM anyway) - From the client point of view, in case of 4.4 dysfunction is it possible to go back to 4.1.7 seamlessly by restarting the 4.1.7 VM (I'd like to avoid to rejoin 500 PCs ...) ? Any advise welcome . Thanks in advance Henri

Killing the OpenSSH server doesn't cause the Windows OpenSSH client to die
I connect with the OpenSSH client on Windows to the OpenSSH server on FreeBSD, all in one LAN, Wifi to Eithernet. After a while, usually when the connection is inactive for some time, it becomes dysfunctional: it becomes impossible to connect through reverse port forwards from FreeBSD to Windows. At such times killing the ssh server process on FreeBSD, corresponding to the connection, doesn't cause the client to exit on Windows. But hitting Enter on the client in Windows causes it to immediate...

solution for YP problem
I wanted to let folks know that I had a problem with unreliable, and mostly dysfunctional listing of a server's mounts on YP directories. This server has a few dozen mounts. If all the relays and sources were connected, YP wouldn't work; if only some were connected, YP would start working. I had to increase the <yp-url-timeout> for all the <yp-url>'s to a mu...

Xen and bonding on Centos 5.2
...script (with netdev=bond0), one server works fine without problems, and the other starts upping and downing the slave interfaces of the bond in a very fast manner (several runs per second). Both configurations are identical, the only difference is: - the working server has tg3 nic drivers - the dysfunctional server has e100 nic drivers. Does it really depend on the nic driver if bonding works? And why does it not work in xen, but work fine without xen? What can I do to analyse the problem? I know I could ask this on the xen list, but I fear that this is a redhat/centos specific phenomenon. Any...

command history under cursor keys
g'day R friends, I was hoping someone could provide me with advice as to my dysfunctional 'arrow' keys. Instead of browsing thru my command history they just move my cursor. What have I done wrong? My TERM seems ok for other unix apps. I'm running under hpux 10.20 with R1.0.0 thanks, John Strumila -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-...

I want to make them all the same but I am not sure which is correct. Rebuilding PHP: how do I manage updates?
...tion page (with phpinfo()), and every module needed by my application was there. Now I wonder: how will I manage security and/or bugfix updates for PHP and its modules in the future? When simply issuing 'yum update', any update to php will squash my rebuilt version, and PMB will become dysfunctional. My first idea would be: see if there are available updates, and in that case, download the according SRPM, rebuild and reinstall the whole thing. But that sounds a bit tedious. Or simply put a line in /etc/yum.conf: exclude=php php-* ??? Any suggestions? Niki

tinydns/djbdns opinion poll
Good morning: We're about to start moving our public DNS to in-house managed servers. My first thought was "Linux + BIND" and we're done. Someone in another business unit's IT dept. has suggested tinydns be used. >From what I could find, it looks like this software hasn't really had any community drive behind it in a while. The latest RPMs on rpmforge are for red hat

Rcmdr plugins produce error
...the Rcdmdr Tools menu. To my suprise Rcmdr produced a number of warnings and finally an error. The error suggests that some of the extensions are incompatable with each other because of menu name choices. If one then selects to "restart Rcmdr" at the ensuing prompt, Rcmdr is left in a dysfunctional state such that Commander() can't recover. I understand that what I did was "insensitive", but one might expect Rcmdr to crash "more gently". The warnings and errors I got are shown below. The final message before Rcmdr restart dialog appears is the following: [16] N...

More than 1 gcc version?
Hi CentOS4.2 - Is it possible to have an older version of gcc as well as the one that ships with this OS? I need to compile aspseek to run on this distro but it seems to only like older gcc's any ideas?

One way audio
Perhaps I was a little too hasty in my conclusions of dysfunctional fax on the SPA-2000. It turns out I have a one way audio problem on line one of my SPA-2000. I have all the correct settings according to the comments in the wiki, but the problem persists. However, if I do a hook flash out of and back in to the call that isn't transmitting audio, it wor...

C-API: check whether R has been initialized ?
rPython appears to provide an interface from R to Python by embedding Python and I'd think that it can safely assume that R has been initialized, but might not be the point here. The issue is that a Python package embedding itself R (here rpy2) appears to have no way to know that earlier in the life of the process R was initialized. 2015-05-03 19:48 GMT-04:00 Duncan Murdoch
