rails color picker?
Hello, Is there a color picker somewhere that is integrated with rails? Specifically a I''m hoping for a full 24-bit picker with sliders, etc, that can interact with rails objects, such as updating a form that rails has setup, or just injecting it''s chosen value into an input value that rails has set up to put back into an object after submission. Thanks, Avram

Primustel a.k.a. Lingo $20/month unlimited service
Hi all, I just saw this article about this new offer from Lingo.com: http://www.techweb.com/wire/story/TWB20040607S0008 $20 monthly plan with unlimited local and long-distance calling in North America (US & Canada) and Western Europe. Plus first three months free and free equipment. It doesn't say what hardware they send you. Sounds like a very good deal. I searched the list and

e164.org
So I just saw this VoIP-centric article at slashdot (http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=04/05/22/1840220) which mentions e164.org. It's a "non-profit public DNS root designed to map phone numbers to Internet protocols." Is anyone on this list actually using this? They have asterisk config instructions: http://www.e164.org/config.php I wonder if someone can help me understand

sampling weights for lme
Dear All, I have a complex survey data with observations having differing probabilities of selection into the sample. I would like to run a linear mixed effects model and also to use weighting that takes this into consideration. As far as I know, however, the weighting option for the lme command from nlme package (or glmmPQL from MASS, for that matter) is related to heteroscedasticity. Is there a

...tion succeeds, sshd tries to exec login(1), and I get this: No utmpx entry. You must exec "login" from the lowest level "shell". Connection to x.x.x.x closed. The sshd from ssh-1.2.28 works fine with this directive. Is this a bug or am I missing something? Speakeasy VOIP + Asterisk?
Has anyone tried getting Speakeasy VOIP to work with Asterisk? I just got Speakeasy DSL and am thinking of trying out their VOIP [1] with the hope that the quality/stability will be better than broadvoice. I searched in the usual places (voip-info.org, the asterisk users mailing list archives [2], dslreports.com) and couldn't find anything. Any other places I should look? Thanks, Simon

cook's distance in weighted regression
I have a puzzle as to how R is computing Cook's distance in weighted linear regression. In this case cook's distance should be given not as in OLS case by h_ii*r_i^2/(1-hii)^2 divided by k*s^2 (1) (where r is plain unadjusted residual, k is number of parameters in model, etc. ) but rather by w_ii*h_ii*r_i^2/(1-hii)^2 divided by k*s^2,

2 NuFone lines- which one to dial out on
I am setting up 2 nufone lines. I want to make them both availiable for dial-out. How do you syntax it in extensions.conf so that it figures out which one is avaliable and dials out on it. Also how do you setup the name part of callerid for the outgoing lines?

Quick question on merging two time-series of different frequencies
Hi, A quick beginner's question. I have two time series, A with daily data, and another B with data at varying frequencies, but mostly annual. Both the series are sorted ascending. I need to merge these two series together in the following way: For any entry of A, the lookup should match with B until we find an entry of B that's larger than A's. For all A[i], i = 1,...,N and B[j],

Adding OpenBSD sudo to the FreeBSD base system?
Aloha! (I've Googled around a bit, but failed to find much previous posts about this though I'm sure it has been discussed...) Have anybody (in core etc) considered adding a sudo implementation to thr FreeBSD base system. At least for me, sudo is an important part of implementing good security policy in FreeBSD. Yes, it is available as a port, but in a similar fashion of for example,
