Wine is not doing a clean --purge
Hi guys. Just figured it again. (running 1.3.10) Wine is leaving all its entires in ~/.local/share/applications when doing an apt-get remove --purge. That's giving me dead bodies in the main menu. Would be nice to get that fixed. The desktop corpses I might accept. ;) Cheers

Re: Warhammer Online. BUG
Hi i would like to take this time to get a quick poll on members. I'm not sure if i can post this here so if I'm violating the rules mods feel free to delete this post right away, however this is something that has been bugging me so i decided it was time to create an account here and post. Anyways the question at hand is do people think botting sites should be allowed. For example i did a

ANNOUNCE: x11-ssh-askpass v1.2.0
...leases of the portable OpenSSH. This release of x11-ssh-askpass has received cursory testing. Although the changes are relatively small and contained, well ... so is knee surgery, but that doesn't mean the patient can walk right afterward. Please bludgeon this release severely and send me the corpse. It would be nice for this to go into the next round of portable OpenSSH RPM packages. Cheers. -- jim knoble | jmknoble at jmknoble.cx | http://www.jmknoble.cx/

World of Warcraft 1.7.X
...ore 4 on a AMD-64 with the wine version 20050830 World of Warcraft work (in openGL) with the FC4 i386 without sound and I have to kill wine when I want quit. The game is quite fast (some problem when looking fire with smoke). But with the wame FC4 in x64 architecture I cannot target mobs, nps and corpses. With cedega 4.4.1 I use : ;; App default settings ;; World of Warcraft settings [AppDefaults\\WoW.exe\\memory] "MemoryLayoutOverride" = "0x10000000" In the config file which corrects the same mouse problem and the sound. WoW is slower under Cedega but works in openGL and d...

...AVs compared exactly to the originals every time. The range of ratios ranged from 0.20 for some jazz tracks (quiet Ella Fitzgerald stuff) to 0.78. The hardest stuff to encode was constistently by the band Dream Theater (the ultimate in progressive rock), even harder than death metal like Cannibal Corpse. Classical, jazz, chant were almost always below 0.5. Rock, techno, world music usually fell in the range 0.5-0.7. A ratio of 0.2 like with some of the jazz and classical tracks means a bitrate of under 300kbps which is not bad for lossless. The other interesting thing is that the sweet spot se...

...stCall? FastCall is used to indicate a function has x86_FastCall semantics if i am not mistaken. I needed to differentiate between a normal fastcc and the x86_fastcall semantics in an older version of my code. PhatBox and Music Keg unofficially support Vorbis

specified network name is no longer available
Hi Volker, Jordan Coleman, Murray Taylor, David Kennel, Frederic Corne and Stephen Jones all wrote about the problem of a specified network intermittently reported "no longer available" when writing to a file. It's the same problem which I complained about on April 7. I then assumed it had to do with the presence of a w2k3 server in the domain. The problem disappeared after I

[LLVMdev] RFC: Tail call optimization X86
Hi Arnold, Thanks for the patch. Some questions and commons: 1. Have you test it against the llvm test suite? Does it work if fp elimination optimization is turned off? 2. Please follow llvm coding convention and make sure every line fits in 80 columns. 3. enum NameDecorationStyle { None, StdCall, - FastCall + FastCall, + FastCC // the normal fastcc calling convention }; Why is
