Dear all, I have question but cannot explain without providing some context first: I want to calculate how many policy-connected coalitions between 7 parties are possible. I have positions on an one-dimensional scale for each party and I have sorted the parties on the positions (it is sorted from extreme left to extreme right, hence using a left-right scale). A policy-connected coalition consists of parties that are connected on this l...

OpenML, Khronos, and dmSDK
It looks like SGI has an open source project called dmSDK (digital media SDK) that is similar in some ways to the goals of the Xiph.org projects. Apparently it's the basis for OpenML, which is run by the Khronos SIG, which looks like a consortium made up of various companies like S3, SGI, and Intel. You can find more about dmSDK at http://oss.sgi.com and more about OpenML and Khronos SIG at

IAX calls drop suddenly?
Hi, I've got asterisk working as a PSTN gateway between two sites. The IP connection is pretty good and bandwidth exceeds 640Kbps all the time. I'm using X100P hardware on 300Mhz and 333MHz systems. One of them has a sound card, but the slower system does not have a sound card. Both are connected to PBXes and I have busydetect=yes on one end because the PBX doesn't drop the

Instructions for clean Install of Wine, EVE, and Ventrilo
I built this box and was looking forward to running eve on it. 2 weeks later CCP dropped support for Linux and I haven't been able to get a decent install yet. I found some instructions last night that let me run eve in safe mode, but if I tried adding Vent, it would crash. Also, I can't get Vent to run either. Can somebody post a straight forward install so I can run this game as
