Two offices connection

Both the offices will have two separate Asterisk server with TDM400P cards (4 ports FXS & FXO). Safe Win9x?
I want to install a linux samba server to serve 30 win9x machines. I want to prevent users from writing on the local drives, they should have write access only to their home dirs on the samba box. These users have a nasty habit of deleting crucial system files. Is it at all possible with win9x and samba? Of course NT workstations could resolve the problem, but that's not an option with these

non-digest format of this list?
I always get the messages of this list in a digest format. This is bad to handle, esp. if you want to answer a question found in the digest. Does everyone else also get the list as a digest? Is there a way to switch to single messages? If not how do I easily answer messages which the subject correctly set? Or how do I automatically split the digest into the separate messages? For your

Roaming profiles
I want to setup a linux box with samba as a file and print server for a LAN of 20 NT 4.0 SP3 workstations. I want the home direcotories to be on the server the clients to have roaming profiles. For this, do I have to make the linux box a domain controller? I want to avoid it if I can, because the domain control code in not on the production releases. I don't want to setup an NT server either.
