Samba 4.4.3 debian wheezy backport intructions
Hi, Backported samba-4.4.3 from debian unstabel to debian wheezy today. May be of interest for others so i share the instructions and patches here. Ten packages from unstabel must be backported, I modified some to use python2.7 and removed dependencies to python2.6 and python3 (the later is not available in an recent enough version on wheezy/wheezy-backports). 1. Manually delete .glusterfs/changelogs directory ?
Hello, I just deleted (permanently) my geo-replication session using the following command: gluster volume geo-replication myvolume gfs1geo.domain.tld::myvolume-geo delete and noticed that the .glusterfs/changelogs on my volume still exists. Is it safe to delete the whole directly myself with "rm -rf .glusterfs/changelogs" ? As far as I understand the CHANGELOG.* files are only needed

Changelog maintenance
Hi, We are using r-forge to create a package. My query is that how do I keep the change log updated. I created the change log by doing the following: svn log -v>./inst/changelog Also if I do svn add ./inst/changelog and svn commit -m "Adding changelog" then the changelog is one version behind in the commit history. How do I solve this? Regards Vikram [[alternative HTML version

Why no changelog & changes in the News
Hi all, I downloaded the newest package in the hopes of a changelog so I can ask for packaging in the distribution but there is no changelog in the Changelog. It was empty. The only thing which was relevant was in the News. Why the changelog is kept if its not gonna be used? -- Regards, Shirish Agarwal This email is licensed under

FLAC 1.3.1 changelog?
As we?re talking 1.3.1 release, I?ve been keeping track of a couple of changes that I feel should be included in the changelog and that I might as well share here. The things between brackets are just to refresh memories, I?d leave them out of the actual changelog. * Improved efficiency of 24 bit decoding. Manually delete .glusterfs/changelogs directory ?
Hi Mabi, If you will not use that geo-replication volume session again, I believe it is safe to manually delete the files in the brick directory using rm -rf. However, the gluster documentation specifies that if the session is to be permanently deleted, this is the command to use: gluster volume geo-replication gv1 snode1::gv2 delete reset-sync-time

ChangeLog for R packages {was "Wish list"}
I've been using a cvs2cl.pl (http://www.red-bean.com/cvs2cl), a nice little perl script to auto-generate GNU-style changelogs from CVS log information. This site also has a proposed XML format for changelogs, and cvs2cl can optionally produce this instead. Finally, they have an XSLT sylesheet that will convert the XML changlong format into an HTML/XHTML page. How about we borrow this tool

ANNOUNCE: Puppet 0.22.2 (grover)
Hi all, I''m proud to announce that I seem to have pushed a new release of Puppet out in record time. This is a minor upgrade, mostly bugfixes and small features, but there are lots of each. See the changelog[1] for an idea of what this release provides, but keep in mind that this changelog is my first real attempt at keeping an up-to-date changelog. Enjoy! 1 -
