addqueuemember recording and reporting problems
I am having a difficult time with the transition from agentcallback
login...
Here are a few of the isssues, I am logging in using chan_ local
ie:local/8000 as the extension
Call Detail records no longer show agent/xxxx as the dstchannel
show agents no longer shows the channels state
show queues does not show the member
Can anybody help? I have a ton of time invested in applications I
developed that rely on this.

I'm not sure if this will solve any of your problems or not, but I've
found it's often necessary to use the "/n" on the end of a local channel
to make it work correctly for queues, as in Local/8000/n

latest CVS build won't load
Fails on loading several of the chan_*.so modules with "undefined symbol
__use_ast_pthread_create_instead__".
Notably, these same modules complain during compilation "implicit
declaration of function __use_ast_pthread_create_instead__".
Ideas?

How to play sound AND run asterisk?
Hi,
I'm a new asterisk user developing an AGI application. As part of my
application I'd like to play sounds on the server's speakers, but it seems
that I can't do this while asterisk is running.
When I try to play sounds using the play or aplay command, it blocks until
I stop asterisk. My guess is that asterisk is using the sound device and
this means that other programs

Removing `chan_dahdi.conf`
...ying around with optimizing an Asterisk install (trying to
remove as many possible configuration files as possible) for testing and
debugging purposes.
I've been able to remove most of the files and maintain an error-less
Asterisk full file, with a single exception: I can't seem to remove
`chan_dahdi.conf` without having Asterisk complain in the full logs:
ERROR[1182] chan_dahdi.c: Unable to load config chan_dahdi.conf
I'm only using DAHDI for dahdi_dummy timing, and nothing else. If I have an
empty `chan_dahdi.conf` file, then Asterisk won't complain at all, but if I
remove the...

New forkoff() and chan_wont_read/write() API
Markus,
How's this patch?
- a chan_wont_read()/chan_wont_write() API is added that is very much
like chan_read_failed()/chan_write_failed(), but for the debug
messages and chan_wont_*() don't ever call error()
The 3.0.2p1 channel_pre_x11_open() uses chan_*_failed() but looks
like it ought to use chan_wont_*() instead...

ZAP device reference in Zaptel 1.4 - SIMILAR
Well, I'm experiencing a similar problem with my setup... debian etch,
asterisk 1.4.2, zaptel 1.4.1, ... I cannot find the chan_zap.so module
file anywhere, tried recompiling with zaptel 1.4.0... no change... I
tried 'make menuselect', and going to the channels-part, chan_zap is
marked XXX -> dependencies missing: and this is the message for it, as
an explanation. Zapata Telephony Depends on: zaptel_vldtmf(E),

Applications, dialplan not loading
...ons.conf" does not load.
What I find extremely puzzling is that this worked with a previous CVS,
the one I first got on about 06-09. Since then I have upgraded to the
latest version of alsa, but I can't understand why that would make a
difference. (Although the log file complains about chan_oss and the
sound resouce being busy, it does load alsa and dialing a parked-call
extension does execute correctly).
Comments? Suggestions?
