is the domain admin password stored on the local machine?
I just wanted to know if the domain admin password is stored on the
local machine, when that machine joins the domain?
Or is it just used to authenticate, and it is not stored anywhere on the
workstation?

We have no ldap. Remote profiles were allowed the first day
but now it is turned off.
I've checked the registry here. It was 10 now 50. Nothing changed.

The former windows admin said he changed nothing to make it work in
w2k. It just worked.
Clients are Windows XP.
