cached message size errors
Hello,
We recently moved from courier to dovecot, and I'm seeing a handful
of errors that prevent people from retrieving email.
Below is a snippet of the log sequence I see when this happens:
Oct 10 13:44:24 mbox dovecot: imap(xxx at bway.net): Error: Cached message size smaller than expected (1759 < 1830)
Oct 10 13:44:24 mbox dovecot: imap(xxx at bway.net): Error: Maildir filename has wrong S value, renamed the file from /home/vpopmail/domains/bway.net/1/xxx/Maildir/cur/1381381552.91972.xena.bway.net,S=1759:2,b to /home/vpopmail...

TrippLite/Compiling on FreeBSD
.../nut/drivers'
gmake: *** [build] Error 1
I've tried adding "-I/usr/include/dev/usb" to the Makefile (the only place
I see a usb.h file), but same results.
Any ideas? Should I even bother trying to get this model to work?
thanks,
Charles

Strange output from LIST command
Hi,
i'm using Dovecot 2.1.7 (Debian Wheezy) and output from LIST command looks strange:

S: * LIST () "." "INBOX"
S: * LIST () "." "INBOX.Karantena"
S: * STATUS "INBOX.Karantena" (UNSEEN 0)

windows imap clients
...ecot has impressed the hell out of me. I had a chance to
deal with the same mailbox in courier and dovecot, and everything is much
faster, especially in mail.app and roundcube. Insanely fast...
What else is out there for windows clients?
Thanks,
Charles

/etc/rc.d/devfs restart
Note that libusb seems to need the /dev/usbX device that your UPS hangs

That's all for now...

Courier migration and vpopmail with dovecot-lda

bit overwhelming as I have to deal with a big jump in the vpopmail

then on top of that a migration to new imap/pop server software.
eek.
Thanks,

In short, writes are slow, likely do to the write-cache being enabled on

to be in 7.x.

problem building dvi and pdf documentation on Darwin 10.2.6
...sure if this a glitch in the input files, a borken TeX installation
(mine is teTeX 2.0.2 built via fink), or some (other) Darwin-related

If someone with a better understanding of these things can point
me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.

LSI Logic raid status
Hi,
I have a LSI Logic sata/sas raid running, is there a way to see the
state of
the volume, like optimal, degraded or resyncing?
I've tried several commands with camcontrol but I cant figure it out.

--delete, but not for symlinks?
Hello,
I've been using rsync to keep two boxes in sync until one replaces the
other. To make things a bit more to my liking and to make apache's
userdir config a bit simpler, I have added a number of symlinks in the new
machine's /home. Both boxes have hashed userdirs, ie: /home/a/auser,
/home/b/buser, etc.
So I have some symlinks like /home/a/aweirdo -> /home/CORP/aweirdo.

OMNIVS1500XL and FreeBSD
I'm running FreeBSD 6.2 with Nut 2.0.5 installed from ports...
I have a TrippLite OmniVS1500XL plugged in, but I'm having little luck with the
tripplite_usb module. I have already built and booted a new kernel with UHID
disabled so that libusb can grab /dev/ugen0.
At first I was able to get the following out of the driver:

OpenSSL compile flags
When building OpenSSL version 0.9.7i (and all prior versions that I've
seen) on Linux, the compiler flags passed to 'gcc' include:
"-O3 -fomit-frame-pointer -mcpu=pentium"
This occurs even when the output of `uname -m` and `arch` are "i486". I
have a few machines with hacked 'uname' and 'arch' commands that will

old files not getting deleted
Howdy,
I've been having a bear of a time tracking this down. I'm currently using
rsync to back a bunch of servers up to a ZFS pool on a server. I recently
noticed my deltas between ZFS snapshots seemed a bit large, so I started
looking more closely at what was being backed up. Looking at some Maildirs, I
found that messages (files) that had been deleted on the server were not being

7.x and multiple IPs in jails
Hello all,
I've been searching around and have come up with no current discussions on
this issue. I'll keep it brief:
In 7.0 or 7.1 is there any provision to have multiple IP addresses in a
jail?
I'm stumped on this, as I just started a new hosting project that needs a
few jails. At least one of those requires multiple IPs, which is
something I never really even realized was
