errors during samba_dnsupdate, another case
...OK, including DNS records being created for members that join the domain. Reading https://wiki.samba.org I came across https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Testing_Dynamic_DNS_Updates. When I execute "samba_dnsupdate --verbose --all-names" on the DC I'm seeing the same errors Daniel Betschart reported on this list on 2020-04-06: [root at dc01 ~]# samba_dnsupdate --all-names --fail-immediately ; TSIG error with server: tsig verify failure [root at dc01 ~]# samba_dnsupdate --all-names --fail-immediately --use-samba-tool ERROR(runtime): uncaught exception - (9711, 'WERR_DNS_ERROR_RE...

DNS forwarders are not replicated
After a Samba AD controller joins the Windows domain, the DNS forwarders are not replicated. Is that because the FSMO roles are still with the Windows server and does that change as soon as I transfer these roles to the Samba AD server? Or do I have to manually record the DNS redirects either way on the Samba AD server?

Domain joined with legacy DNS zones
I have joined a Samba server 4.9.5 to a Microsoft SBS 2011 server, i.e. a Windows Server 2008 R2. That worked, but only if I made the replication of the DNS reverse zone Windows 2000 compatible. However, Samba now cannot replicate the DNS. Before I changed the replication typ of the reverse zone, I received error 9003, 'WERR_DNS_ERROR_RCODE_NAME_ERROR' when trying to join. Unfortunately,

LDAP scheme for Dovecot
I use an LDAP server for user administration, the users can manage themselves with the LDAP Account Manager (LAM). I would like to give the possibility to be able to define the quota per user. LAM provides support for certain schemes, but the qmail scheme is missing in the free variant. So I used the Courier scheme. Now, while LAM correctly stores the value in bytes, it appends the letter S.
