Echo cancellation - usage & porting to MIPS32 architecture
Dear manager,
Our company is developing embedded product, which requires echo cancellation. We found the speex license is open source under GPL, so we can use the library source code.
I am struggling to port the echo cancellation part to MICROCHIP PIC32MZ family, which is based on M14K core from MIPS. The compiler is MICROCHIP XC32 C compiler.
Do you have kind of support for this project for

Dos to USB
Hi, I have a windows app that allows an old dos program that will only print to LPT, to redirect to a USB printer. I was able to use this in native windows. But Wine does not seem to be able to launch a dos box like windows could. The program is at:
http://www.dos2usb.com/download.htm
Unless there is some other way to redirect an LPT port?
Thanks Bob

SUQ: Share permissions
After parsing through the various bits of available documentation, I'm
forced to bow before the group and ask the following Silly User Question:
While I can create and set NT ACLs on files/folder, anything in the root of
the share can be deleted by any user who has access to that share. I've
munged something in my file permissions. What /should/ the file permissions
for a root share

We have access to an icecast server and i beleve we need to set up a
source client. Had a look on the website but docs seem to be mainly
concerned with setting up a server. What i really want is something
that i can use in conjunction with Jack Audio conection Kit. any
pointers would be great.

Problems with Samba 3.4 under Opensolaris snv_111b
Hi List,
I compiled Samba 3.4 for Opensolaris because the samba SUNWsmba
shipped my SFW did not work properly.
Now I had to realize, that the Problems are still there so I beleve
that it is a common Problem with Solaris (?)
I have samba running as PDC with a Sun Directory Server as backend.
All Authentication to Unix Clients work well with DSEE but Samba seems
so have some trouble:

rsync 2.5.5 SCO Unixware patch
Hello list,
This is a patch to rsync 2.5.5, and it serves two purposes. The small
patches to batch.c, flist.c and log.c simply add "void" to some function
definitions so that all declarations in proto.h have full parameter lists.
unsigned char read_batch_flags() OLD
unsigned char read_batch_flags(void) NEW
The SCO UNIXWare compiler correctly objected to these functions not

Linux limits
Hi all,
Any one know how to increase the Linux limit? I am hiting a wall on 200
calls playing files at the same time. From Asterisk console, I am
getting messages like
Sip_request_call: Unable to build sip pvt data for "asterisk1/700"
Too many open files
Is this a limit of my Linux box? I only have 512MB of ram. Will increase
it to 2G help or I have to change some configuration in

Question on CAR appendix on NLS
The PDF file on the web, which is an appendix on nonlinear regression
associated with the CAR book, is very nice.
When I ran through the code presented there, I found something
odd. The code does a certain model in 3 ways: Vanilla NLS (using
numerical differentation), Analytical derivatives (where the user
supplies the derivatives) and analytical derivatives (using automatic
differentiation). The
