Adding a Windows2008RC to an SerNET S4 4.5.3 (forest level 2008R2) domain hangs at replication CN=Configuration received 1630 out of approximately 1663 objects.   Only message I can find in the event log on the 2008R2 server is -  Internal event: The local directory service received an exception from a remote procedure call (RPC) connection. I have the distribution Samba package 3.2.3 running under Ubuntu 8.10 Workstation, downloaded using Synaptics Package Manager. It is running as a PDC. Since we updated to 3.0.6 we are having an oddity that the server IP appears in printer UNCs rather than the IP address. Hi All, I'm in the need to migrate a PDC based on samba 3 with TDB backend (on a Fedora 8 Box) onto a new server (based on Ubuntu server 8.10). Il call them OLD and NEW from now on.
