[Bug] Seg Faulting in index.rb:718
Hey, Ferret is repeatedly seg-faulting my mongrel servers on the same line: /usr/local/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/ferret-0.10.11/lib/ferret/index.rb:718: [BUG] Segmentation fault ruby 1.8.5 (2006-08-25) [i686-linux] I''m using ferret 0.10.11. Winbind issues with AD member file server
...thought I had answered this. It is used to provide authentication and user information services to various Unix systems and web services. US "Truth in caller id act"... and it's impact on services
...;t be done within the limits of the law. If you agree with this law, and believe that it facilitates the deployment of useful calling features, then please contact your congressman. And if you don't, well, you have a voice too, so tell them why it falls short. Either way, this act has been backburnered way too long and it's time to have a final conclusion on the matter. -Philip

\\<IP ADDRESS>\ works, but \\<machine name>\ gives permission error.
Greetings Samba gurus, Short: I have some clients that can log into my samba server using the samba servers IP number, but it fails when using the name of the machine. I've tried solving this error for 2 days now, and I'm at a dead end. I'd love some help with this. Long: I have a Fedora Core2 machine with 2 NIC's. One is hooked up to a 192.168.0.X network with an ADS

newbie question reguarding kerberos tickets
I recently joined a samba 3.0.22 server to AD. When I did the kinit, the AD gave me a 24 hour ticket with a 1 week renewal. Setting -r and -l to 365d did not change anything, the ticket still came back the same. However, my question is in reguard to whether this is really even needed? First, I deleted the ticket, and everything seemed to continue to work perfectly. Now, I let the ticket expire

ARM7 decode resource requirements
Hi Tom Thanks, just at the feasibility phase right now, so this sort of info is really useful. Memory/MHz values for the Tremor/Vorbis code seem to vary wildly - at least I could not find a consistent set of numbers after trawling through the discussion groups... i2 vs. instiki-ar
Just wondering if anyone can tell me the differences between i2 and instiki-ar? Is one preferred over the other? Also, instiki-ar has support for file uploads but it doesn''t look like i2 does. Is there any plan to add that support? Any insights would be appreciated. Thanks. Steven Smith

Winbind UID
Please note that I am not on the mailing list. Please respond to Ken.Lynch@luxfer.net. I did not want to join the list just to ask one question. I need to know what UID's are being given to a domain user when they logon. Is there any way to view the winbindd_imap.tdb or winbindd_cache.tdb. Is there any utilities that would allow me to see the mappings. Thanks for any ideas, Ken Lynch

Bug in RedCloth or in my head?
Instead of emm-dashes I get struck-out text surrounded with single hyphens. Printer Driver Managment
I have a few questions concerning driver managment in Samba. 1) Can you delete a driver once added into Samba? How? 2) How do you tell the difference between a Windows NT and 2000 driver? They all have an <arch> type of "Windows NT x86" that I can tell. When using "rpcclient adddriver" command how do you set it as NT or 2000? 3) I notice that when I use

ARM7 decode resource requirements
Hi all I'm looking in to using speex for an ARM7 based speech decode development (note we need the decode only). My hope is that we should be able to run the decoder (in wideband mode) real time on the ARM7 (40MHz) without any problems (the difficulty would be in the encode - but we plan to run that offline on a PC - so we should be OK). Can anyone confirm that this is the case please? Also

Any Zaurus users??
Just wondering if there are any Zaurus owners out there using there zaurus as a voip phone?? I'm trying to decide which on to buy. The sl-6000 is perfect for phone use from what I've read, but it's not very pocket friendly (http://www.sharpusa.com/images/hpc_SL6000_pic1.jpg) The clamshell models (http://conics.net/shp/pda/zaurus-sl-c700/sl-c3000.html) are much nicer but would
