s3 winbind loosing kerbers ticket
I have 2 CentOS 5.6 x86_64 servers configured with with samba 3.5.4, CTDB, GFS and DRDB in an avtive,active cluster. After some time winbind looses the ticket. After this I have to do a net ads join on the server to get things going. The main DC is a windows 2003 server with SP2. net rpc rights problem with groups
Hello List, I have tried to grant SeMachineAccountPrivilege to an extra group. Users in this group should not have Admin rights but they should be able to join workstations to the domain. All I want to do is to provide shared folders to Windows 2000 machines, but I do not want to have to maintain a password consistency between the two systems, so I thought that security=domain is the right solution and then Samba will magically do the authentication of a user against the Avtive Directory. First thing, am I right here ? Is my idea the good one ? Second, if I am right, I have a problem. I can't access to a Samba share, I always get access denied. Problem is that I am sure that the login and the password are good. Is there any thing with encrypted/unencrypted passwords...
