NUT-2.0.3 - problems on setting values
Hello, we have a MGE Pulsar Evolution 800 connected to a Fedora Core5 Server using a serial cable. Installed and configured properly are RPM versions of nut-2.0.3-0.1.fc5 nut-client-2.0.3-0.1.fc5 nut-cgi-2.0.3-0.1.fc5 which all work (mostly) fine. The server is connected to outlet.0 and properly shuts down when it's loosing power after around 20 minutes. It also boots up whenever the ups

Various NUT issues/questions
Hi, FINALLY got my UPS working, YEA!!!! But now it brings up even more issues.. (BOOO!!) 1) I'm thinking this is a UPS issue, but when I pull the plug on my UPS, it goes from 100 to 30 in just a short amount of time (Minutes). This causes the machine to shut down. But once it gets to 0, its beeped its little heart out for a few more HOURS providing power to the non-system items perfectly.

Dynamic Failover
I am faced with a network that needs to autoswitch to isdn should T-1 go down. After a shorewall search it looks to be quite a deal with routing config with linux. Like scripts written to deal with knowing the T-1 is down. I looked into a cisco router that does this. around $3000 This network has used shorewall as the gateway for 4 years now. Currently Fedora as op. system. It appears to me

Differences between USB and serial on an MGE Pulsar Evolution 3000
Hi, I've been using NUT for many years to look after the UPS on my home servers. Originally I was using a Compaq R3000 but that was replaced with an MGE Pulsar Evolution 3000 about a couple of years ago because the Compaq one was just too noisy! I'm just setting up a replacement server and would like to connect it using a serial cable as I've found that the USB connection

Leadtek BVA8051 / Sipphone.com CallInOne with Asterisk?
.... Asterisk versions from 0.7.2 to 1.0.3. Results have been consistently flaky, I've tried flash upgrading, makes no difference. Have tried all sorts of config tweaks on the phone as to buffer size, etc. Google has almost NO info on these things, they have one nice feature which is easy autoswitching between POTS and SIP calls in both directions. Any experience or hearsay out there in Asterisk land?

misc newbie VoIP questions
asterisk-users at lists.digium.com Please excuse the ignorance of these questions. (I still have yet to install and configure a VoIP solution.) Depending on the feasibility of some of these questions, I was going to try my hand at installing something... --Is there a way to pick the best SIP service for each country? MGE Evolution and programmable outlets configuration
Hi, I'm a MGE Evolution 650 owner and, after putting in place a basic configuration for controlling my UPS, I'm going to tune a little bit better NUT for my needs. First of all let me describe my little (SOHO) scenario: I have the ISP modem/switch (providing VoIP too, so it's important to keep it running as much as possible), a small low power home server and a much hungrier PC.

Model list missing my UPS, here is info for inclusion on the list
Hello Niels, thanks a lot for this compatibility submission. This is part of the remaining things at Eaton. I've added an entry to the new Hardware Compatibility List: http://new.networkupstools.org/stable-hcl.html BTW, have you tested a shutdown with this unit? Otherwise, you should! thanks again, Arnaud Quette Le samedi 02 octobre 2010 ? 12:42 +0200, Niels Kristian Jensen a ?crit :

Resetting replace battery status on Pulsar 1500
Hi, I have a FreeBSD 9.2 system with NUT 2.6.5 (installed via the ports tree) with an MGE Pulsar 1500 connected. A while ago it complained it needed the battery replaced and it was finally replaced last week, however I can't find out how to reset the flag in NUT. I've looked in upsc, upsrw and upscmd but none seem to have a suitable option. The UPS is connected via RS232 and upsc output

Differences between newhidups (MGE tables) in 2.0.4 and svn trunk
I was looking at how other drivers deal with outlet collections, and I noticed some differences between newhidups in 2.0.4 (from Debian's 2.0.4-2.3) and the SVN trunk (rev 723) on an Evolution. Full diff is below, but here are the highlights: * MGE HID 0.9 vs 1.0 * outlet.#.switch seems to have moved to the commands outlet.#.load.{on,off} Then I found this in the ChangeLog: * fix

MGE Pulsar Extreme communication problems
Hi, I am trying to talk to an MGE Pulsar Extreme UPS over RS232 with the mge-shut driver but I'm having some problems. It appears to init OK but I can't, say, turn the outlets off, eg.. harrow:~>upsc mge@localhost battery.charge: 78 battery.charge.low: 20 battery.runtime: 05760 driver.name: mge-shut driver.parameter.port: /dev/cuad1 driver.version: 2.0.3 driver.version.internal: 0.65

Joining forces with the Network UPS Tools
Hi Powermen ;-) I recently came across the Powerman project (http://sourceforge.net/projects/powerman/), pointed by Tony Merenda, from Opengear (thanks Tony). Congrats for your work in this area! I've thought a bit about Powerman and NUT since then... NUT currently supports hosts of UPSs and few PDUs (RPCs), and provides tons of features: http://test.networkupstools.org
