Yet Another Samba question
Hello Samba Guru's Your last solution was so successfull I though I would try one more question to throw at you. I am currently running samba-1.9.18p7 on a Solaris 2.6 Ultra Enterprise 450. I have the default service to be homes which loads auto_home map from a Solaris server. Logon works great from Windows95 and WindowsNT Workstation clients. But when I attempt to login to the samba share from an NT Server (4.0). It gives me the following error: \\san-diego\jamey Not Accessible. This account is not authorized to connect from this station. NFS export issue
Hello, I have a ZFS filesystem structure, which is basically like this: /foo /foo/bar /foo/baz all are from one pool and /foo does only contain the other directories/mounts (no other files) When I try to export /foo via dfstab, I can see the directories bar and baz, but these are empty. Can I only export via NFS each subdir on its own ? thanks in advance. Thomas

Nis homedirs
...= amd.homedir I have four pure NFS fileservers. By "pure", I mean that they are absolutely not NFS clients. I do not automount /home on my fileservers. I have Samba 2.0.0-alpha13) running on all four servers with these lines in each smb.conf file: nis homedir = True homedir map = auto_home If I don't specify "path =" in the smb.conf file, the server logfile shows that Samba simply gets the home directory out of the passwd map (/home/username) and attempts to use it. OK, so I specify "path = %p", and the log shows the server extracting the "/export/par...

nis homedir troubles
Sorry if this is an old problem. I have just installed 1.9.18p10 - the latest version. I noticed the nis homedir option in the config file, but have not had much luck in implementing it. I had hoped it would mean my [homes] shares would map to the correct server - the one which physically carries a users home directory - regardless of the machine to which the connection attempt was made.
