I have two GlusterFS server and the volume status is replica . The add of them are server01:192.168.1.10 and server02:192.168.1.11 . The client mount the server01'vol and I can use the GLusterFS usually.
Now, l am reading the file on the glusterfs volume usually, the server02's interface down suddenly ? and the client is also down. It will resume after a delay(about 10s),I think

Why does glusterfs has nfs stuff on the server
When I installed gluster and do a "ps" on the process I see:
/usr/sbin/glusterfs -f /etc/glusterd/nfs/nfs-server.vol -p
/etc/glusterd/nfs/run/nfs.pid -l /var/log/glusterfs/nfs.log"
My question is why did glusterfs use nfs-server.vol, nfs.pid and
nfs.log instead of using some generic name. This is confusing and
makes me think it's using nfs somehow on the server even though

Gluster on Clustered Storage
Hi ...,
How does one deploy Gluster on a clustered storage i.e. two server nodes
with a common storage array?
Say one has, two server nodes connected to a common storage array, that
exports 2 LUNs visible to both nodes.
[ Server 1 ]------[ Storage ]------[ Server 2 ]
Each server node mount a single LUN, but in case one of the node fails, the
other node takes over the LUN.

Problem wit glusterfs-server 3.4
Hi at all!
i'm trying to use glusterfs for the first time and have the following problem:
I want to have two nodes.
On node1 I have a raid1-sytem running in /raid/storage
Both nodes see the other and now I try to create a volume.
While I create the first volume on a fresh system (node1) for the first time, gluster said:
volume create: glustervolume: failed: /raid/storage/ or a prefix of it

Replace brick of a dead node
Hi!
Seeking pardon from the experts, but I have a basic usage question that I could not find a straightforward answer to.
I have a two node cluster, with two bricks replicated, one on each node.
Lets say one of the node dies and is unreachable.
I want to be able to spin a new node and replace the dead node's brick to a location on the new node.
The command 'gluster volume

problem with missing bricks
Gluster-user folks,
I'm trying to use gluster in a way that may be a considered an unusual use
case for gluster. Feel free to let me know if you think what I'm doing
is dumb. It just feels very comfortable doing this with gluster.
I have been using gluster in other, more orthodox configurations, for
several years.
I have a single system with 45 inexpensive sata drives - it's a
