Samba High Availability
We're using Samba, and it's working very well, however I'm interested in finding out what approaches would work for having some sort of redundancies in place in case the main server crashes. Is there anything in place for Samba in order to have some sort of backup in place in case the main server crashes. The reason is that the server is critical to the company's business, and

Upcoming Presentation
Hi, I've posted on the list before with problems asking for help, but this time, I was hoping some of you could send me some information about how Samba has helped your organization. Statistics, figures, performance benchmarks, stories, links for information, etc., would be appreciated, as I'm doing research to make a presentation about Linux and Samba and would like to present it with

Samba PDC with 100+ Client Experiences?

I've set up Samba 2.0.0 as a PDC with roaming profiles. All seems to work well with the small limited set of machines I've used. Backgrounds and all settings seem to be saved, and all works well. It took quite a bit of time to get

What kind of system works best?
If any of you recall, I sent a message before regarding issues with a 100 client-based Samba server. After speaking with the company I'm working with and showing them some of the replies, they are enthusiastic about the system, and we're all looking forward to seeing it working. Thank you for all your replies and for your help. There were quite a few replies, and I can't get a
