Please help: domU becomes unresponsive
...and development DomU completely locks up. Net disconnects, but CPU(sec) continues to tick in xentop. No errors, and nothing logged. All dom''s are CentOS, so I''m pasting below what I''ve already posted to centos-devel and centos-virt. Please grant edit permission to my account, JerryAmundson. Initially, I'll change my personal page. Later, I can expand into areas that need changes made, especially if they involve aspects of CentOS I use daily - xen, drbd, and so on... thanks, jerry

Contribute page
The last sentence of http://wiki.centos.org/Contribute indicates a RHEL Beta is available, but this is not the case, currently. Maybe a more generic statement, and not specific to release number, could be in place here? If such a link to "upstream" can be found of course, as I seem unable to find such things tonight. Not even a fitting mailing list or "group". Frustrating.

AMD-64 install hangs on kernel load
I''m trying to install xen-3.0.4 from source on a debian sarge (3.1r4) box with dual AMD-64 processors (with the new HVM support, although I don''t think that''s got anything to do with the problem). I installed only the packages necessary to compile xen and its kernel(gcc, make, bzip2, bridge-utils, etc). In the source directory, I ran ''make world &&

limit on the number of NICs per domU
Hello, Xen FAQ states that there''s a limitation of 3 virtual network interfaces per domU: http://wiki.xensource.com/xenwiki/XenFaq#head-9896478cf65a16f43ab4fb066f74c0e0d67a16ac My question is: is there any way (like setting some #define or something in the sources) to rise this limit to 4 or 5? Why is the limit set to 3 actually? I tried to google, but I couldn''t find any

xen: when devices go away...
Hi there, I''ve been experimenting with iscsi and xen and have found an interesting behavior. I''d reasoned that using iscsi volumes as devices in a software RAID1 configuration would be a Good Idea since when one of the iscsi servers goes away the filesystem is stable. I have a dom0 which has access to two iscsi volumes on two seperate iscsi target servers. I configure a domU

Time/clock issues with Xen 3.0.3?
The time appears to be perfect inside dom0, however all the domU''s tend to have a slightly faster date which gets further out of sync every day. I''m currently using Xen 3.0.3 with Gentoo Linux, under 3.0.2 I had no problems with domU clocks. Are there any known issues which could cause this? I''d strongly prefer not to run ntpd in every domU, having all domU clocks in

SSH Console access
I''ve been playing around with this, but have yet to be successful. I am trying to figure out how to SSH to my Dom0 IP and some static port and then redirect the "xm console <domU>" into the SSH session. Has anyone been successful in doing this? Really the only option I''ve seen is using "screen" on the /dev/pts/[1-x] console device, but that seems overly

Newbie DomU problem
Suse 10.1 AMD64 Xen3 New to Xen. The dom0 is up and running. I am trying to get my first domU working. My approach is to use precompiled images from jailtime.org. After some manual tinkering with the .cfg file the domU proceeds to boot but stalls with the following error. I cannot get past this - any ideas ? Brian Using config file "/etc/xen/vm/vm1". Started domain vm1 Bootdata ok
