The data structure looks something like the one below:
COUNTY A B C D Total

The goal is to explain variation in spending patterns, which are
presumably the result of characteristics for each county.
I may treat the problem like a simple linear regression problem for each
category, but by definition, money spent in one category...

Comparison between Ogg Vorbis and LAME
...to
build Ogg Vorbis support into their hardware? I\'d like to know what\'s taking
them so long, and I\'m sure Thomson Multimedia had a lobby too.
Luck, great work and many thanks for this amazing software and the effort for
ridding the world of software patents,

%s and %f in the print command expand to the same thing.
...it says "if '%s' is not preceded by a '/'" does it means the character
just
before the "%" or does it means anywhere in the line? I can explain why %s
is not expanding
to the full path name.
Could anyone help me figure this out?

Followup on Comparison between...
...nd was contradicting me on Ogg Vorbis performance. I showed the bastard
and earned 10 bucks (bet). Note that I still have to test the latest LAME and
do graphs. I also should test different original samples.
I still want less bitrate and indistinguishable quality on -q 5! =)

SQLServer + (OSX/linux) + accents
Hello,
I wrote a RoR app on OSX and SQL Server. The DB uses SQL_Latin1, so I
use Iconv to convert to UNICODE every dynamic text I show on the pages
(Iconv.conv(''utf-8'', ''iso-8859-1'', string)). That''s been working fine
until I deployed the app on a debian box. Since then, the accents are
shown as question marks, and I don''t know why.
