Issues with 'Miwa' algorithm in mvtnorm package
Rather specialized. As this appears to be primarily a statistical, not an R programming question, you may do better posting on a statistical site like http://stats.stackexchange.com/ if you don't get a satisfactory reply here . Alternativey, if you think this is a package bug, perhaps contact the package maintainer directly, as (s)he may not monitor this list. -- Bert Bert Gunter "The trouble with having an open mind is that people keep coming along and sticking things into it." -- Opus (aka Berkeley Breathed in his &qu...

Issues with 'Miwa' algorithm in mvtnorm package
Currently doing some work on local maxima on a random field and have encountered an issue with the Miwa algorithm used with the pmvnorm function in the mvtnorm R package. Based on recommendations by Mi et al., we ran the mvtnorm package using the Miwa algorithm, since we have a maximum of 4 dimensions with non-singular matrices. However, running the estimation procedure in this way, we obtained

Hi It seems, I just miss something. I defined treshold <- function(pred) { if (pred < 0.5) pred <- 0 else pred <- 1 return(pred) } and want to use apply it on a vector sapply(mylist[,,3],threshold) but I get: Error in match.fun(FUN) : Object "threshold" not found thanks for help cheers chris -- Christoph Lehmann <christoph.lehmann at gmx.ch>

[asterisk-app-dev] True suppression of DTMF from audio
...best approach: trying to direct RTP through some separate server (eg sipwise/rtpengine) which would implement this, or modifying asterisk to support this? I am really wondering how hard it would be to implement the buffering (holding back of RTP packets for a fraction of a second within asterisk? Alternativey, how hard would it be to configure asterisk so that rtp passed through rtpengine before coming in ot asterisk? Also, does anyone know if this would be workable for most codecs, or would it become horribly messy for anythng other than simple uncompressed codecs where (I assume) we can be sure that i...

ident daemon: oIdentd creating a lot of processes
hi! all, i'm using oidentd-2.0.8 installed through /usr/ports/security/oidentd for ident authentication what puzzled me is when im starting the daemon using the script provided at /usr/local/etc/rc.d/oidentd.sh it will create a lot of process ID and my system will become slow CPU resources will turn upside down rapidly from 90+% idle to always 0% idle this is the PIDs while querying daemon
