Cryptic error with Roxygen
Dear all, I'm using Roxygen for the first time and I'm getting a rather cryptic error message. I must be doing something wrong but I have no clue what is it. Any suggestions? Regards, Thierry roxygenize("AFLP", roxygen.dir = "AFLP", copy.package = FALSE, unlink.target = FALSE) Writing AFLP.outlier to AFLP/man/AFLP.outlier.Rd Writing AFLP.outlier to AFLP/man/AFLP.outlier.Rd Error in col(m) : a matrix-like object is required as argument to 'row/col' traceback() 14: col(m) 13: sp...

Strange bug in my package
Dear all, I get a bug in the examples of my AFLP package on R-forge (https://r-forge.r-project.org/R/?group_id=1027) but only on the Linux version. The windows version compiles. The Mac version skips the examples and compiles. The strange thing is that the packages compiles on my Ubuntu 10.10 machine with R 2.15.0. Therefore I can't reproduce...

Problem with defining new method for residuals()
...redefined residuals (for my custom class) I get an error (see below). It looks like the wrong method is used. The strange this is, that when it execute the code manually it get no error. incorrect import?
Dear all, I'm not getting what I'm doing wrong. The line below from my read.fsa.bin function throws an error when just loading my AFLP package and disappears when I load the zoo package as well. #the line that throws the error Index <- which(Peak == rollmax(Peak, k = 1 + 2 * floor((min(diff(SizeStandard)) * Fs - 1) / 2), fill = -Inf)) #the error Error in UseMethod("rollmax") : no applicable method for 'rollmax...

Still avoiding loops
Dear all, I have a matrix X with 47 lines and say 500 columns - values are in {0,1}. I'd like to compare lines. For that, I first did: for (i in 1:(dim(X)[1]-1)) for (j in (i+1):dim(X)[1]) { Y <- X[i,]+Y[j,] etc. but, since it takes a long time, I would prefer avoding loops; for that, my first idea was to add this matrix: X1=X[,rep(1:46,46:1)] to this one: res=NULL for (i in

Multiple lmer runs using 2 'for' loops
Dear Mark and the R list, I apologise greatly for not having thanked you earlier for your help with my last mail, which involved trying to sort out variance components using two methods: a direct looped lmer, and a two-step analysis involving regressions of AFLP markers on lmer residuals for the same result (or so I hoped). I was in India for ten days and no CRAN mirror in the vicinity made it very difficult to be able to work with R (the closest Thai and Singaporean ones not working too efficiently at that time, though I'm not sure how this norma...
