[LLVMdev] "Name that compiler"
[Apologies in advance for the train of thought prose, but it is brainstorming after all…] I'm going to focus on self-descriptive names rather than literary or fantasy references… Advanced Compiler Kit, affectionately known as “ACK!”? It has an ill- deserved nod to NeXT, even. (Completely the wrong language, after all.) Core Compiler? Heh, I don't think that'd get past certain influential marketing departments. Nor is this a C API, but that didn't stop Core Data or Core Image, so y'never...

v1.2.3 release candidate
http://dovecot.org/tmp/dovecot-1.2.3.rc.tar.gz I thought about doing v1.2.3 release immediately, but I think I'll wait about 10-24h first. So until then, testing this RC is appreciated and hopefully we'll have a good release this time. :) + Allow namespace prefix to be opened as mailbox, if a mailbox already exists in the root dir. - Maildir: dovecot-uidlist was being recreated

Introducing... JMWBot (the alter-ego of johnmark)
...(aka johnmark) to take care of a few todo items, I realized I had never written an IRC bot!! Now I never aspired to be the bot master that JoeJulian is, but I figured I needed this notch on my hacker belt... Therefore, I'd like to introduce: JMWBot. (now with 20% more twisted!) JMWBot is the affectionate alter-ego of johnmark. JMWBot should most likely be found hanging out in #gluster, and waiting for johnmark to talk. If he does, JMWBot will bug johnmark up to once a day [1] to remind him of pending todo items... set by you! To add a public reminder in #gluster for johnmark: JMWBot: @remind bring...

Warning: "Channel does not have a CDR" when doing ForkCDR
...rom the error message it sounds like Zap/49-1 doesn't have a CDR to begin with - is it possible to force the second leg, i.e. the call on Zap/49-1, to generate a CDR? Any help would be appreciated. Dial plan info is at the end of this transmission. Thanks, MC Dial plan info: This is what I affectionately call "blasterisk" - I'm using Asterisk to make lots of automated calls. I'm not really blasting away, but it sounded cool. Anyway, here's how it works- I start with a .call file that generates a phone call in blasterisk_dialout,s,1 If the called party presses the correct d...

[SUMMARY] Rails Core Weekly May 29 - June 4
...geset/4379 ] Some days ago choonkeat alerted the list that patch #5216 actually makes habtm resilient against the existence of extra attributes messing up the normal ops of habtm. However habtm is reaching the end of its product lifecycle (i.e. don''t use it anymore, use has_many :through, affectionately known as hmt) and this patch might not be needed anymore. But Rick Olson thnks this patch might in fact help people migrate ot hmt. choonkeat still feels hte patch should be applied to make habtm behave correctly in spite of an extra column being present. The jury is still out on this one. [ thr...

Basic Asterisk capabilities question
Hello, I am very new to Asterisk, so please forgive me for my basic question. I couldn't find a good answer to this on the info boards. I'd like to know if the following is possible and reasonable to accomplish: I'd like to configure a voice recording system using Asterisk and a Tormenta2 Quad T1 card. A co-worker was able to create this system a while back with Bayonne and a

Getting started w/ Ruby on Rails
Hi, I would like to get started with RoR, since it seems to be a terriffic platform for Webdevelopment. However, I''m unsure what "level" you need to be on in terms of programming to get started? Best regards, Gustav -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

[LLVMdev] "Name that compiler"
Hi Everyone, LLVM is a growing project, and many of us are very fond of it. :) LLVM is continuing to grow, both in maturity in specific areas and in scope of areas that it is applicable to. When we first started the project, we focused on the design of the intermediate representation. It is a strong design goal that the IR be a self-contained virtual instruction set, which fully describes

Community Feedback: Git Repository for R-Devel
...tools can be deceptively easy and inviting. In the face of many existing version control systems, the decision to create another shouldn?t be made casually. However, given a critical need, a bit of insight, and a healthy dose of motivation, forging a new tool can be exactly the right course. Git, affectionately termed ?the information manager from hell? by its creator is such a tool. Although the precise circumstances and timing of its genesis are shrouded in political wrangling within the Linux Kernel community, there is no doubt that what came from that fire is a well-engineered version control system...
