[LLVMdev] request for more info about "disassembler" open ended project
Hi All,
I would like to have more details about this LLVM wished feature (taken
from http://llvm.org/OpenProjects.html#misc_new):
"Write a disassembler for machine code that would use TableGen to output
MachineInstrs for transformations, optimizations, etc."
The phrase refers to _native_ machine code? Any extra detail about this
feature will be really appreciated, since I'm interested in implement this
feature or else the ELF32Writer, alone or with one of my students here in
Argentina.
Thanks,
Duilio Protti.

Installing rgl package under Ubuntu
Dear Rexperts,
lately I'm having troubles installing the rgl package via
install.packages("rgl", dependencies=T) in the R 2.4.0 backport running
under Ubuntu 6.06 LTS. I get the following error messages, despite
having installed libx11-dev (as recommended in a similar post about SUSE
10.1):

And if you're old MS CIFS/PDC, get off of it. Get your
network to NsDS (now Red Hat Directory Server) before
it's too late -- even if just for your UNIX portion. Or at
least introduce 23+ year-old NIS for things.
Golden Rule:
The _client_ is always right.
Always present the _native_ interfaces of the client OS
from a server when it comes to:
1) naming
2) directory/store
3) authentication
4) file services
Whether you are a true UNIX, e.g.,
DNS/NIS, NIS, hash, NFS (NIS)
DNS/NIS, NIS, Kerberos, NFS (NIS-Kerberos)
NIS+, NIS+, RSA, NFS (NIS+)
DNS, LDAP, RSA, NFS (Sun One)...

run firefox via an ssh tunnel
If the point is to access a specific web site only the remote machine can get to, you can also do it with port forwarding:
ssh -L 8000:ip_of_web_site_to_access_from_remote:443 remote_machine
and then locally run any browser, and access
https://localhost:443
(assuming it's https. If it's plain http, use "http" and 80). Note that you'll be breaking some aspects of https

SMB server with CentOS 4
Hi,
I need to set up a small server for a group of ~10 employees (all using
Windows 2000/XP, used to use a windows 2000/exchange setup). I have a
linux server already running CentOS 4, so I'd like to do all I can with
this. I thought about using Samba for file/print sharing and
OpenXchange (commercial version) to have a nice
collaborative/mail/calendar/etc server. Of course, it would
