Chrome not allowing mixed content anymore
Hi. With its 80th version, Chrome stopped serving non-secure resources on https pages. This affected the icecast server I run also. I enabled SSL, the issue with Chrome not playing audio got fixed, but I noticed a major drop in the number of listeners. As far as I figured out, the listeners that have the http url in...

Looking for help in calculating percentiles
Hi All: I am working with a dataset on Arsenic toxicity, and I am trying to calculate the 20th, 40th, 60th, 80th, and highest percentiles for a variable, dietary Moisture (variable name dMoist). The inbuilt function quantile(dMoist) would print 0, 25th, 50th, 75th, and 100th percentile. Does there exist a function that can calculate xth percentile (where x = 10th, 20th, ... etc) values? I looked for su...

Odd ssh authorized_keys problem
Hi all, I''ve just implemented a [crude] manifest to apply a set authorized_keys file to the root account of a puppet client. class rootssh_test { file { "/root/.ssh/authorized_keys": owner => root, group => root, mode => 0600, content => template("rootssh_test") } } The template has two ssh id_rsa lines in. When the client applies

Renouoveau hangs on 79th test on 8800 GT
Hello, I am still trying to get you a dump from my brother's 8800 (because the dumps page says that you have never received one). The computer has a nVidia Corporation GeForce 8800 GT (rev a2) and I am running Koala's script. It compiles and runs through most of the tests properly, but consistently hangs indefinitely on the 79th test until I press Ctrl+C and quit the program. The

Simple shaping question
I have linux box (does nat and firewall for small network) connected to dsl. I want to set priorities for protocols (that nothing could disturb web browsing). This is my rules (eth0 connected to internet): /sbin/tc qdisc del dev eth0 root /sbin/tc qdisc add dev eth0 root handle 1 htb default 30 r2q 100 /sbin/tc class add dev eth0 parent 1: classid 1:2 htb rate 900Kbit burst 15k /sbin/tc class

kernel oops/IRQ exception when networking between many domUs
Hi, I try to build experimental networks with Xen and stumbled over the same problem that has been described quite well by Mark Doll in his posting "xen_net: Failed to connect all virtual interfaces: err=-100" here: http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-users/2005-04/msg00447.html As it was still present in 2.0.6, I tried 3.0-devel and found NR_PIRQS and NR_DYNIRQS had been

Strategy for about 200 part-time users
I''ve been lurking for a while, trying to figure out this traffic control stuff. We have 3 ADSL modems upstream, with 2, 2, and 1 megabit total bandwidth, 1/4 of it up, 3/4 down. We also have about 200 workstations downstream, connected through wifi. We are presently using tc to create about 200 buckets with HTB and SFQ. It seems like this is too many buckets, since usually only about

How to fix a Blue Alarm?? Line Noise?
We are having line noise issues in our Asterisk to legacy PBX integration. All SIP calls originating from IP phones sound crystal clear. All calls that originate from the legacy PBX (Isoetec 228) and route through the Asterisk and out SIP have a lot of line noise. I believe I have it pinned down to these Blue Alarm errors that I can see on the legacy PBX side. zttool shows no alarm but when I

[PATCH] xm,xend: flesh out xm sched-sedf
This patch -Displays[1] current parameters for running domains ala xm list -Allow users to set[2] one or more parameters[3] without having to provide values for parameters they do not wish to change -Adds additional testing of sched-sedf via new xm-test testcases. With this patch applied, test 02_sedf_period_lower_neg.py exposes a bug[4]. I''ll follow up this email with a patch for

CampingConf?
Campers -- In a few weeks there will be a bunch of people in Portland, OR, for a conference. A long time ago some campers mentioned that might be a good time for us to get together and hold a mini CampingConf for a few hours. Is anyone interested? Does anyone want to organize it? I''m thinking Wednesday night, May 16. We could possibly get a spot at FreeGeek (not likely since they are

Did I use "step" function correctly? (Is R's step() function reliable?)
Hi all, I put up an exhaustive model to use R's "step" function: ------------------------ mygam=gam(col1 ~ 1 + col2 + col3 + col4 + col2 ^ 2 + col3 ^ 2 + col4 ^ 2 + col2 ^ 3 + col3 ^ 3 + col4 ^ 3 + s(col2, 1) + s(col3, 1) + s(col4, 1) + s(col2, 2) + s(col3, 2) + s(col4, 2) + s(col2, 3) + s(col3, 3) + s(col4, 3) + s(col2, 4) + s(col3, 4) + s(col4, 4) + s(col2, 5) + s(col3,

some fixes, improvements, and new features (EPO and DYING) for NUT
Here are a series of my recent changes to NUT. The first few in the set are primarily little fixes and improvements. In among those are a few for .gitignore files which of course you can ignore for SVN, and there's one for a commit to a generated file which of course should not be tracked in any VCS. Then there are a couple or three to do with generating the header files used by
