But I've not seen it in recent textbooks. So it may be one of those older graphical displays that's just fallen out of use. ...pping out after about 8-12 seconds in Edge or IE? It's fine in Chrome or Firefox. It's also fine in the new Chromium based Edge. I have a number of listeners reporting it. It also happens on some of the streams in the http://dir.xiph.org/ Icecast directory (Alt Rock 97, Wakefield FM, KBSU, 80s 90s Hit Radio etc.). D-link DPH-80 (SIP) call to asterisk problem
Hello gentlemen, I am new here. I have a D-Link DPH-80S SIP phone (it's a non-US model), and I am trying to make it work with Asterisk. I tried versions 1.0.7 and yesterday's CVS and the behavior is the same. The phone registers with no problem, and can accept calls. But when I try to make outgoing call, there is a series of invite requests f...

How to priorize VoIP in a Wi-Fi scenario? Default qdisc in Linux, PRIO, HTB and HFSC ...
...], I have setup a testbed with a chain of 3 nodes in the laboratory. Using iperf I inject TCP traffic and every 20s a different flow of UDP traffic (to simulate VoIP, video and noise). I process the logs and get graphs from them: nodeA <--(channel1)--> nodeB <--(channel6)--> nodeC - 0-80s: TCP - 20-80s: TCP + UDP (voice) - 40-80s: TCP + UDP (voice) + UDP (video) - 60-80s: TCP + UDP (voice) + UDP (video) + UDP (noise) Basically I wanted to test which is the best qdisc to do this. I have setup two schemes: 1) One using PRIO as the main qdisc and some leaf classes as RED, SFQ and sho...

...dump has changed anything in 20 years or so! And I > certainly can't see it changing such that it can't read old files - > that is, sort of, it's raison d'etre. A bit off topic but... Funny story, at a previous job, my boss was able to extract the data off tapes made in the 80s on tops-20 systems (iirc) with the version of restore on FreeBSD, but couldn?t get the tape drive to work on anything but Linux, so he had to extract the tapes on a RHL system then copy them to FreeBSD to read into the restore program. He actually was able to find the data he was looking for. --...

Reducing the deleterious effects of ego related issues on the list: growing up individually.
Folks, I *suggest* that little or no reply to this is warranted. It's just the statements of an old fart trying to make a (slightly) better environment for all of us. These thoughts are offered for consideration and use as you see fit. For some, "Hey, that'll work for me too" is the hoped for result. No discussion is intended or warranted, IMO. I have not really programmed since the mid-80s with 'B'. I leave the converting of our carefully worded standards to executables to others.... :) That said, is this what you are advising: require "fileinto"; if header :contains "X-Spam-Flag" "YES" { } else { fileinto "Spam"; }...

Could you use some help with Samba on AIX ?
...nd could set one up just for samba to use for testing or what ever you need. These are the old 7012 desktop single processor systems running AIX 4.3.3 and I guess I could install AIX 5 on one. I also have a 59H and an R-40 just collecting dust. We replaced all our IBM RISC systems with new 7026 B-80s. We use the IBM AIX optimized version 5 'C' compiler but I do have the older versions if needed. I am not at this time using any GNU compilers for AIX. If I can be of some help or there is something specific you need please feel free to drop me an e-mail or call I will try to help. Thank...

Streaming MoH on 1.4
Hi, I've looked high and low for any changes that streaming MoH needs on Asterisk 1.4 (.21), followed NerdVittle's article about it (http://nerdvittles.com/index.php?p=92) yet nothing worked. After creating dir stream/ and touch stream.mp3, here's my musiconhold.conf [stream] mode=mp3 directory=/var/lib/asterisk/mohmp3/stream stream =>

[LLVMdev] Why asserts don't provide much information?
Thanks for forwarding Jeffrey's tip Paul. Unfortunately, coming mostly from the application programming side, I haven't seriously used a command line debugger since the Apple IIe days in the early 80s (geez, i guess that makes me kinda old as far as programmers go). So I'm not familiar with gdb even at an intermediate level. Not that gdb isn't ubiquitous for tools development or any sort of development on Linux/Unix. For application development, however, most people use an IDE. I'v...
