[PATCH] ocfs2: Limit default local alloc size within bitmap range.
...rease
our local alloc size and calculate how much megabytes we can
get according to group size and volume size.
But we also need to check the maximum bits a local alloc block
bitmap can have. With a bs=512, cs=32K, local volume with 160G,
it calculate 96MB while the maximum local alloc size is only
76M. So the bitmap will overflow and corrupt the system truncate
log file. See bug

Software RAID1 Disk I/O
I just installed CentOS 5.4 64 bit release on a 1.9ghz CPU with 8gB of
RAM. It has 2 Western Digital 1.5TB SATA2 drives in RAID1.
[root at server ~]# df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/md2 1.4T 1.4G 1.3T 1% /
/dev/md0 99M 19M 76M 20% /boot
tmpfs 4.0G 0 4.0G 0% /dev/shm
[root at server ~]#
Its barebones right now. Nothing really running. I intended to move
our current email server over to it eventually. The thing is slow as
mud due to disk I/O though. I have no idea whats going on.
Here is a bit...

Un Installing a hard drive in a Centos 5.1 box
Hi Guys,
I'm fairly new to Linux and I'm trying to un install a hard drive from my Centos 5.1 box running KDE. When I built the PC, I installed two 500 gig maxtors in the tower, then I installed Centos. Now I've decided that I want to remove the slave drive and use it as an external backup drive - I am mounting it into one of those external drive cases with a built in fan.

[LLVMdev] LLVM MinGW binaries on Vista issue
Hello, Jon
> To make it easier to use the LLVM-GCC MinGW32 binary and meet your GPL licensing requirements, could you embed the MinGW binutils binary as-is in the LLVM-GCC MinGW32 and update the LLVM docs to point to the MinGW SourceForge download site for those wanting the MinGW binutils source?
I still don't think it's good idea. binutils will add something like
10Mb to package

Hi everybody!
I''m using an edge bridge box with two ethernet cards to shape traffic in
a WAN link. I''m running Debian 3.1 stable with kernel 2.6.8 and
iproute from packages. I recompiled the kernel with the following
built-in options:
[*] 802.1d Ethernet Bridging
[*] QoS and/or fair queueing
<*> HTB packet scheduler
<*> SFQ queue
[*] QoS support

[PATCH] edit-livecd in python
This is the second generation of the edit-livecd tool that replaces our
original bash script with a python version and aims to reuse as much as
the livecd-creator libraries as possible. The main reason for the new
creator class is to avoid the need for a kisckstart file in order to
edit an existing livecd image.
edit-livecd is useful for people who don't have the development and yum

RFC: Building GlobalISel by default
Hi all,
Now, four backends (if I am counting right: X86, ARM, AArch64, AMDGPU) are working on bringing-up GlobalISel, I’d like to switch the default of the LLVM_BUILD_GLOBAL_ISEL variable in CMake, such that the framework gets built by default.
** Impact of Flipping the Switch **
* Upsides *
For people developing on GlobalISel, it will:
- Simplify the CMake command to type :)
- Build/Test
