No admin privileges after upgrade from 3.5.8 to 3.6.0rc3
...and admin can "domain" login just fine, but with 3.6.0rc3, the
admin lost his privileges, simply downgrading samba to 3.5.8 fixed
this.
<openSUSE Build Service internals>
Here's my samba build:

That's linked to project network:samba:STABLE. If somebody from this
project there is reading here: Doesn't the term "STABLE" and the
project description imply stable released packages? IMHO, a release
candidate doesn't match this criteria, but others might disagr...

Migrate Mac data from G4 to Novell Linux (SuSE) cluster on a SAN
We are currently in a server consolidation.
We are trying to move all the Macintosh data from a G4 server to a Novell
Linux Cluster.
We have used Rsync to mirror the data from the Mac Server to the SAN that
the Novell Linux Cluster it is using.
We found that special attributes and characters did not sync.
When trying another Rsync with the Novell SAN volume mounted on the Mac

Two rsync questions

one opinion about searching samba docs for answers
It sure is hard to find info in the documentation/mailing list for a
specific error. If an error log message was created by smbd, nmbd, or
winbind, shouldn't the documentation contain a description, cause, and
possible solution?
Specific case in point:
[2005/08/05 11:31:22, 0] nmbd/nmbd_browsesync.c:domain_master_node_status_fail(250)
