Wine07252005 spooler problem
Hi, I installed Wine07252005, my printer is EPSON LX 300X, it's CUPS, the name is EPSON9Pin. I tested it with a simple Delphi program and have two problems: 1) If i print using a report builder like RBuilder, it prints quite well, but the font does look good in the print out. 2) If I use spooler to print, like following: if StartDocPrinter(PrnH...

grDevices::convertColor and colorRamp(space='Lab') Performance Improvements
`grDevices::convertColor` performance can be improved by 30-300x with small changes to the code. `colorRamp(space='Lab')` uses `convertColor` so it too benefits from substantial performance gains. `convertColor` vectorizes explicitly over the rows of the input color matrix using `apply`. The level-1 patch [1] illustrates a possible minimal set of c...

[PATCH] Website comparison + fix IE
Hi all, The past few weeks I've been busy comparing lossless audio codecs to update the comparison.html page on the FLAC website (and because I wrote a comparison for Hydrogenaudio in the past) and its ready now. Because the patch is pretty large, I've placed it here: http://www.icer.nl/misc_stuff/update-comparison-and-fix-IE-news.patch.zip The reason to do this is because the

printer admin problems with 2.2.4
We upgraded from 2.2.3a to 2.2.4 on a SuSE 7.2 server. We compiled Samba just default. The new version seems to work ok with the exception of printer administration. Printer admins are not able to see the properties of the printers (right click on printer gives on error). Our workstations are W2k SP2. But users that are not printer admin are able to see the properties of a printer, but they

zfs defragmentation via resilvering?
Hello all, I understand that relatively high fragmentation is inherent to ZFS due to its COW and possible intermixing of metadata and data blocks (of which metadata path blocks are likely to expire and get freed relatively quickly). I believe it was sometimes implied on this list that such fragmentation for "static" data can be currently combatted only by zfs send-ing existing
