How vital is having "FLReset+" for VGA Passthru in DomU?
...ithout FLR capability will result an error.
To check if your PCI devices have FLR function, check in this wiki, [How
can I check if PCI device supports FLR (Function Level Reset) ?
If you see output with "FLReset-" then your PCI device don''t support FLR
function. If output have "FLReset+" then it does.
As this time of writing, June 2012, there are very very few PCI devices
support FLR function.

"Denormalize" data
...le in my department only
know how to do this using STATA. I've explored various options. unstack()
seems to be the most appropriate but it's just not working using the default
formula:

getting X started...
I've got a new VM installed for me by a sysadmin who apparently did a minmal install.
As a result I've installed a bunch of things to try to get X going, including
yum groupinstall "development and creative workstation", "Desktop platform" "mate desktop"
but so far I've not found the incantation to get it to start up X at boot time.
As far as I can

GTX-560 in v3.6
Hi,
I am running a GTX-560 with nouveau driver, or at least I try to, and
I dont get it working... I have seen that in the Xorg.log.0 appears
the chipset family, but I don't know why it isn't working.
I attach the Xorg.log.0 and the dmesg output,
Thank you!,

Light indicator managed by Asterisk
Hello,
is there some way to make Asterisk light up a certain light on an IP-phone ?
Like MWI, the message waiting indicator can light up if there is voicemail.
Could this light, or even other lights (like BLF-buttons) be used to
give a visual notification to the user ?
For example : if a certain value is set in the Mysql-DB and Asterisk
reads out this value, can Asterisk react upon it inside

ATI VGA Passthrough / Xen 4.2 / Linux 3.8.6
Hi,
I''m trying to get VGA passthrough to work to an XP x64 guest, and I''m
seeing "interesting" things happening.
I''m using the kernel and userspace tools from here:
http://xen.crc.id.au/support/guides/install/#
on Scientific Linux 6.
I gave up on trying to get an Nvidia card to work in the guest having
read about the extra patches required to get a

Rebuild of kernel 2.6.9-67.0.20.EL failure
Hello list.
I'm trying to rebuild the 2.6.9.67.0.20.EL kernel, but it fails even without
modifications.
How did I try it?
Created a (non-root) build environment (not a mock )
Installed the kernel.scr.rpm and did a
rpmbuild -ba --target=`uname -m` kernel-2.6.spec 2> prep-err.log | tee
prep-out.log
The build failed at the end:
