libvirtd using 11GB
...versions I'm currently running are : libvirt.x86_64 0.9.10-21.el6_3.7 libvirt-client.x86_64 0.9.10-21.el6_3.7 libvirt-lock-sanlock.x86_64 libvirt-python.x86_64 0.9.10-21.el6_3.7 I know I can just restart libvirtd and "all should be fine" (and hopefully I'll regain the 11GB of memory) - however, is there an updated version that maybe fixes a memory leak ?? low level search for deleted data
...thkit (www.sleuthkit.org) or lde (lde.sourceforge.net). That's ok, since the only files I like to recover are text files (c and java sourcecode). But even though I read the ext2-undelete-minihowto (which doesn't apply to ext3, I know) I honestly don't know how to start. The partition is 11GB and the data could be anywhere. Can anyone please describe a sensible approach to this task. I'm really helpless :( Thanks in advance Andreas -- GMX ProMail mit bestem Virenschutz http://www.gmx.net/de/go/mail +++ Empfehlung der Redaktion +++ Internet Professionell 10/04 +++

LLVM building problem
Dear all, I'm using a Virtual Machine with Ubuntu 18.04 at VIrtualBox and I'm trying to build the LLVM project from https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project.git. This VM has 6 cores (from an intel core i-7 8th gen), 11GB of RAM and 300GB of storage (from a 1TB HDD) at a laptop, this is the model: MSI GS63 Stealth 8RE. Then, I'm doing exactly that this tutorial says to build LLVM: https://llvm.org/docs/GettingStarted.html 1) Clone the project from git: "git clone https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project.git&q...

Shared Hosting Rails Sites ?
I can''t decide between a2hosting.com, successfulhosting.com, site5.com (which offers 11gb of disk space for $8.77/month -- I''ll never use it), planetargon.com (which offers 1 gb for $11/month), or railsplayground.com (which offers a gigabyte practically for free). Any experiences you''d like to share? Only a2 and planetargon list their gems on their web sites. All...

Huge!
Hi All, I was trouble shooting why an rsync was taking over a day. I found the problem to be in in a directory in /home that has CVS backups in it. I browsed to find out that there are 7 .tar.gz archives that are each about 1199943181 in size. So that is over 11gb each? If I am doing the math in my head right.... No wonder why this is taking forever to rsync to a USB drive. It was only on the second of 7 and I started it at 2pm yesterday and it was not done/going this morning.... -ML

FiberChannel, and EMC tutorial?
...the first 7 digits of Y in the cXtYdZ number. I''ve tried converting the remainder ''dc7dfb170'' from Hex to Dec, and I don''t get anythign that even resembles the ''000038794003753594'' part of the target. How does this work? These LUNs are all 11GB slices from the EMC Arrays which are filled with 146GB drives. Since this is a lab environment I beleive the EMC arrays are configured with no redundancy. What I''d like to know, is how can I tell which LUNs might live on the same physical drives? -Kyle

9-STABLE, ZFS, NFS, ggatec - suspected memory leak
Hi all, Setup: I'm running 2 machines (amd64, 16GB) with FreeBSD 9-STABLE (Mar 14 so far) acting as NFS servers. They each serve 3 zpools (holding a single zfs, hourly snapshots). The zpools each are 3-way mirrors of ggate devices, each 2 TB, so 2 TB per zpool. Compression is "on" (to save bandwith to the backend, compressratio around 1.05 to 1.15), atime is off. There is no

Xen 3.1.2 on CentOS 5.5 doesn't see all 4 CPUs
Hello all, I've been digging around on this for a few days and I have not come up with a solution. I have a Compaq ProLiant DL580 (G1, the old tan Compaq) with 4 x 700MHz P-III CPUs and 11GB of memory. I've loaded CentOS 5.5 with Virtualization (Xen) + KVM and patched up to current (full KS packages file list at the end). When it boots, Xen only detects a single CPU as shown in the xm dmesg output (full output and the end): (XEN) Detected 701.650 MHz processor. (XEN) I/O virtual...

Memory Problems in R
Hello everyone - I have a couple of questions about memory management of large objects. Thanks in advance for your response. I'm running R version 1.9.1 on solaris 8, compiled as a 32 bit app. My system has 12.0 GB of memory, with usually ~ 11GB free. I checked system limits using ulimit, and there is nothing set that would limit the maximum amount of memory for a process (with the exception of an 8MB stack size). I've also checked the amount of memory available to R using mem.limits(), and there is no limit set. I'm running int...

I'd also prefer to have guest only access to the machine share. Am I going to have to set this up as a PDC and create machine accounts for each XP machine? samba and vfs deleted items folder
...e rest did not want it done automatically. So we left it at that. Now the backup tapes (DDS4 using bacula) are getting full and stopping. I had a look around and the data is up to 30gb, It was under 15gb at the beginning of the year. Poking around I find one users' deleted items folder at 11gb!!! <sigh>, the total for the others user's brings recycled items up to 15 of the 30gb in use :-( So, what do folks recommend to handle this automatically that gives some kind of flexibility. Essentially for the folks who want to manage it themselves and have shown they can handle tha...

R cannot allocate a vector of size 5.4mb

Can someone guide me with this. package used to connect r and java - Rserve I checked with Rserve developers to reduce the execution time of my loop but after doing that i ran into the above mentioned error Thanks &a...
